Reading this discussion only makes me more confused about whether or not this is a legitimate  business proposal. I share some of your circumstances...an ARM with WAMU now taken over by CHASE. My wife and I attempt to monitor our settlements closely, but there may have been an overcharge when Chase first took over our loan. Did you have to purchase software to pursue your audit as some of the discussion suggests?  I called the toll fre number in the letter A.M.T sent; they told me that there would be an upfront $199.00 fee (refundable if they do not find an overcharge) and that was it.

It is a legit deal in the sense that if you buy the audit, you'll get a piece of paper that may say you are owed a refund on your mortgage. However, converting this piece of paper into cash is quite another matter. Patrick says here https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-888-656-9964 on a similar scam operation that "When I asked what is the likelihood of them finding some mistake and me getting a refund from the bank, he indicated that "honestly" very rarely does it happen" and that's because lending papers are pretty much standardized, even ARMs. Lenders know what they can get away with and what they can't. Think your lender will refund money just because you have a piece of paper from an unlicensed fake company you gave $199 to? Lenders have signed mortgage notes in hand and will fight you tooth and claw in court (if one homeowner wins a refund, others will follow). One huge difference is your mortgage note is already legally enforceable in court; your $199 piece of paper is not and you'll have to hire an attorney at $hundreds/hour for months/years to try to convince a court that you have a valid refund. Think it's worth the risk? My lender used the ROUNDUP function in calculating interest on my loan which, on the typical 30-year fixed-rate loan, will cost the borrower about 0.5*30*12*0.005=$0.90 excess interest. Shall I buy this $199 audit that will find this ROUNDUP error and then hire an attorney at $hundreds/hour or go through small claims court to get my lender to cough up 90 cents? Think it's worth it?

The 30to8 Debt Software has nothing to do with the audit but it's potentially a big money-maker for AMT Division and that's why AMT wants to cram it down your throat with a negative-option, 30-day free trial. When you buy the audit, you will also be signing up for the software, you don't have a choice. Unless you cancel during the free period (so say the shills), you'll be charged $49.95/month. However, what *really* counts is the fine print and not verbal statements; have you seen any fine print on cancelling? anonymousMAN is likely an AMT shill. Other shills besides anonymousMAN have posted on this thread as well and anything they say should not be trusted.

If you really think you've been overcharged in the takeover, get some math-geek friends to look over your paperwork. If even they don't understand what's going on with your numbers, you can at least take their questions to Chase and ask them to explain or have them go with you to Chase. Anything is better than buying this robo-audit. There are so many red flags in this audit deal, haven't you read my reply to Theremedyforignorance? Don't do it.

Please DON'T fall for this mess, I know we all can use the extra money, but it's best to make sure it's legit before you dish over ANY amount of money!!!

I got a letter and called.  Got a representative that claimed his name was"Ok" and joked about it.  Seriously even if it was his real name, I would go by a different name just to not sound suspicious from the get go.  So, he explained based on a few simple questions I qualify to go through the analysis.  He says he needs $199 upfront and then will send me email with confirmation and all the contact info of company.  I told him I can't just give up my credit card info without knowing who I'm giving it to.  The letter has minimal info on the company...you would think they would give you a brief profile on themselves to build some kind of trust to work with them.  I told them I need to research them a bit and get back to them.  I came across this thread and I'm so glad I did put it off.  It definitely sounded fishy.  Thank you for all that research done on them...good work!!!!

I got the letter too and the BBB has no record of them which the lady Marty at extention 1174 said they were a member of.

The First Franklin case was finalized earlier this year. You can check that at Firstfranklinclaims.com or go to http://firstfranklinclaims.com/english/Making_a_Claim/Claim_Form.aspx, which explains the deadline for the claim was December 14th, 2010.

There website doesn't have a physical address. I've been through this type of situation before. IT'S A SCAM.

This is an update -- the deck chairs on the Titanic have been rearranged!

Mortgage Auditing Program used to be the "real" company on the BBB report that used AMT Auditing Services LLC as a DBA, which in turn used AMT Division for a DBA and a website. However, it's all been changed around. AMT Auditing Services LLC http://www.bbb.org/utah/business-reviews/loan ... ork-ut-22302183 is now the "real" company using the Alternate Business Names of Enlightened, LLC https://secure.utah.gov/bes/action/details?entity=7807703-0160 and Mortgage Auditing Program (still no Utah business license), and the same websites deadpanham.com and amtdivision.org.

Colton Moody's deceptive use of "LLC" for his Utah DBA business registration for AMT Auditing Services was successful in fooling the BBB to classify AMT Auditing Services as an LLC and not a DBA. It *is* a DBA and not a LLC because it says "Company Type: DBA" in it's Utah business registration here https://secure.utah.gov/bes/action/details?entity=7968758-0151

AMT Auditing Services LLC's websites deadpanham.com and amtdivision.org display the same string of bank logos (Citi, Wells Fargo, Ally, America First, HSBC, Chase, KeyBank) and the BBB report states " Wells Fargo has stated to the BBB: "Wells Fargo has no affiliation with this company. In addition, this company is not allowed to use the Wells Fargo logo without our express permission. Doing so is a violation of our intellectual property rights." " One down, six to go. Hahahahahahaha!

deadpanham.com is registered to a David Scheuneman, 2006 Hollywell St, Las vegas, NV 89135. While the address is legit, 702-555-1212 is simply Directory Assistance for area code 702. It's unclear whether David Scheuneman is a willing participant in or unwitting victim of this scam. David Scheuneman does not have a publicly-listed number or has no phone and calling 702-555-1212 for his unlisted number will get you nowhere. David Scheuneman and/or the scammers do not want you to call David Scheuneman. And what sort of a website name is deadpanham anyway for a professional business offering mortgage audits?

deadpanham and amtdivision are "feeder" websites for the real money-making website 30to8.com. The scammers have been busy upgrading 30to8 with disclosures, they must have been reading my posts on this 800notes page hahahahahahaha! But how much trust can you put into these scammer-promises not to sell off your personal info? The 30to8 login is still on an insecure http connection; 30to8 can sell your data and then say you knowingly entered your data into an insecure http connection, you allowed your info to be intercepted by a third party somewhere in cyberspace and it's not 30to8's fault, can't it? 30to8 is still displaying bank logos that they have no right to -- still think you can trust these scammers? Hahahahahahaha! And where is 30to8 physically located? How do you check out a company before you hand over your hard-earned money when that company hides behind a domain proxy and doesn't want to be found? Is it even in Utah?

Whomever straightened out the BBB on company names (could it have been Colton himself?) didn't do Colton Moody any favors. The BBB report on AMT Auditing Services LLC now also reports Colton Moody as a principal in The Summit Group Of Utah LLC http://www.bbb.org/utah/business-reviews/trai ... ehi-ut-13002802 with its own string of DBA companies. TSGOULLC settled a legal complaint by the Utah Dept of Consumer Protection in 2009. Cristy Moody's company J.C. Residual LLC https://secure.utah.gov/bes/action/details?entity=5014050-0160 is 1 of 6 companies facing a pending Administrative Citation by the UDCP (Colton Moody is also named in the Citation). All in the BBB report and well worth a read. TSGOULLC has an F rating -- can you blame Colton Moody to want to leave TSGOULLC behind and start up another company with an unblemished reputation? Hahahahahahaha!

Google around for info on TSGOULLC and its DBA names. There are lots of complaints on selling coaching seminars for $thousands-up-front on how to start up your own business (various kinds) and allegedly failing to deliver on the coaching. Had to have made a pretty penny while it lasted.

    Here are TSGOULLC's numbers:
    https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-801-542-8500
https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-800-405-8581 (Mars Hill Media is named on the pending UDCP complaint)
https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-800-405-8334 (strangely enough, no complaints here)

Do you *really* want to do a $money deal with Colton Moody's AMT Auditing Services LLC (and it's a DBA, not a LLC) given Colton Moody's past performance?

I have just gotten a letter from AMT Audit, saying they found nothing from my loan, which is BOA, which I think is a bunch of crap.  I am trying to get my refund and when I log on it takes me somewhere else and when I called the representative they said they was emailing me the form for refund.  I still haven't gotten it.

David is supposively did the audit, but I was not able to talk to him.  They said he is busy working on other audits.

So if you spoke to him, that is proably because he/they are trying to swindle you in.  They already got me.  Don't do it.  I wish I had taken my time, should of known.  Everyone is just ripping us off and move on and sleep real good.

    Sad.......

The last time I looked at amtdivision.org, the link to the refund form was on the FAQ page about 3/4 of the page down (link to FAQ page is at the top right corner of all their web pages). Have you looked there? The form states (when I viewed it then) "REBATE FORM MUST BE POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN 45 DAYS UPON RECEIVING THE RESULTS OF YOUR MORTGAGE AUDIT. PLEASE ALLOW UP TO 10 BUSINESS DAYS TO RECEIVE YOUR REBATE." AMT could have place a button-link to the refund form on every webpage but chose to hide it in the FAQs instead to try to run out the 45-day refund clock. If I were you, I'd send it in immediately using Certified Mail to prove you sent it and the date you sent it on. If you send it regular mail, it may end up in a shredder and you may wait in vain (you may anyway).
