That is the text message I got from a 313131. - jenny j replies to Barbie| 3 repliesI just got the same message Barbie. I looked on my student loan papers and the number was different. so I looked it up online and found this. I never received a text message regarding my student loans which made me question it plus nowadays you have to question everything. So incredibly sad!
- Tara| 3 replies$575 fee to set up an income based plan
so he said it's

$39/mo
My pay off would be $11,700
instead of the $15,500 I owe?
I'm confused about all of this
Sounds like a scam
Would like for it to be legit concidering my situation but you can't trust anything anymore.- Call type: Telemarketer
- Derrick replies to TaraIt is a scam. Just contact your student loan holder and discuss payment options with them. That is what this program does for you essentially, but they just charge you for it.
- Kari replies to JoeI text back "stop" and they sent a text back saying that I had been removed.
- Diane replies to JoeFigured...was just texted that I was red flagged for a college..whatever.
- Diane replies to BarbieThat's the message I got...scam
- Russell| 1 replyAfter getting my student loan debt consolidated with the student debt forgiveness act i just received a text from 313-131 saying I've been red flagged for 1 of 7 programs through the department of education. Its a scam I've already paid my loans off and their still thinking they can use outdated information they stole from some database to try and get money out of me. Department of education wouldn't be sending a text like this.

- MandiI got the same text, it is defiantly a scam, I paid off my student loans 2 years ago!!
- HeatherI got one too. I freaked out for a second before having sense enough to Google the message. I told them to stop sending me this scam nonsense and immediately received a message that I have discontinued from EzTexting alerts (their wording). I of course signed up for nothing. I am often getting calls from companies promising to consolidate my student loans or even forgive them, but of course none deliver. This is the first message I've received like this though.
- Caller: EzTexting
- HateThePhoneI received a text message from 313131 that said:
"Gayle, you have been RED FLAGGED for 1 of 7 programs through the Department of Education. Call now 888-732-9286 to speak to a student loan advisor."
How'd they know my name? Thankfully I came here first so now I don't have to waste time calling it. Thanks everyone! - JudyI received the same message! What a load of lies!
- Zachary LaBountyI got a text message from 313-131 claiming that I have been red flagged for 1 of 7 programs through the department of education plus I'm 15 and going into high school

- Val replies to JoeI just got the same call...glad I checked first
- CDM replies to Barbie| 1 replyI got the exact same text message but did not reply.
- JeffI received the same message "Jeff, you have been RED FLAGGED for 1 of 7 programs through the Department of Education. Call 888-732-9286 to speak to a student loan advisor." I figured it to be a scam so I looked the # up on Google and found all of this. One other thing I did was reply to the text with STOP IMMEDIATELY....I then got a reply from them that said "You have discontinued from EzTexting Alerts. You will no longer receive messages or charges for this service. Questions www.extexting.com." This further proves this is a SCAM!!!
- Caller: EzTexting.com
- Call type: Text message
- Yeah, I got it too...Don't know what database they're pulling from, but my student loans have been paid off for months now (and it was a chore getting it done). Obviously a scam. I hate crap like this because it preys on people that are in legit trouble. I was not very nice in my reply back.
- Caller: Scummy Scammer
