I called the first time because I've had to do fraud monitor on my credit and thought this must be another one. I talked to Steven Goldman and he did not want to give me a chance to ask questions because this account he was calling about was 8 years old. When I started telling him to give me a chance to talk (cause he was doing all the talking) he hung up on me. I called and spoke with someone else and told them this might be a fraud account. Here were my options: pay now cause I have 2 days before it goes to court. So I said I can't pay until I investigate. Lady said no time. I asked, well what if I pay and it turns out it is a fraud account? Will I get my money back? She said... I don't know. So, they do they are this "law firm" working with the "attorney" and they just talk to the attorney and these are my options, blah blah. They don't let you talk. I couldn't believe how rude the first guy was.

Identity theives use this tactic to get info on ppl. so i think you need to grow up and use your head on who you give your info to.

you people r pathetic.you really need to py ur bills.i had a payday loan b4,not.would never do it. be a real debtor go to the mob 1st, dont repay them see what they do. pay ur bills.stop whining!

these guys called me and where very profesional.of course i pay my bills and value my credit,unlike some of you. paid and done and out of my life.I took out the payday loan and admit to it,just forgot.they actually saved me money.

calls my job and leaves threatening message and said that they are going to turn my case(which is from 2004) over to the county if i don't get back in touch with them, some Howard lady, have asked for paper work and not willing to send it to me so i can see whats going on

These guys call me on my job harassing and threatening me at least three times a day. They answered the phone as an investigator with CCF when I returned the call; some Mrs. Howard lady. Made threats if I did not give them my checking account number or credit/debit card number.Told them I did not have a checking account nor debit card. Tried to work out a payment plan and they told me that I had to pay what they told me to pay and that it had to paid within a certain amount of time. They also told me that I needed to go to Wal-mart and buy a debit card and put money on it. I also mentioned money gram to her and she said no. When I couldn't supply her with the information she this is what she told me not to ignore this and if I did not call them a decision would be made without me. this is the number she left 866-395-0277. Really need to know if this Company is a scam

They claimed to have my account but it was all a lie.
If i were you i would call the company, and you'll see your debt is still outstanding.

This company (CCF, 888-772-4172) has been calling me for several years, warning that unspecified "legal action" is about to be taken against me, without my knowledge. They pretend to be some sort of legal firm. I cannot get rid of them. The person they want is not even me. We don't even have the same name. I've tried to tell CCF this, and they say they will take my number out of their database, but they don't. I have finally had my phone company install "call screening" so this company can't call me at 9:00 p.m., and threaten me, when they really want someone who apparently has the same last name as I do. I didn't even know what they were after, until I found this page.

This ccf "company" called my ex-husbands house looking for me, for one, me and my ex have been divorced for almost ten years, and for two i NEVER am in contact with my ex nor do i even have his phone number anymore. Also, these people have no reason to be contacting me due to the fact that i have nothing in collections, and i don't write bad checks.
When i called back the number (1-888-762-5195) i got a voicemail that i could not leave a message on.
WHO EVER THESE PEOPLE ARE, THEY ARE FRAUDS!!!!! DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION!!! IF THEY HAVE ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT YOU, DO NOT CALL THEM BACK, AND DO NOT ANSWER ANYMORE OF THEIR PHONE CALLS IF THEY ATTEMPT TO CONTACT YOU AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These fools have a few different toll free numbers, and the same three people answer all departments.  My wife and I are going to contact the AGs' office, the bar association, and 7 On your Side.
They will ask to verify your phone number, right after they just called you at it, and then want to verify your SS#. They will try to threaten you, and when you ask them to send you some proof, they get rude and hang up.        
So we decided to call there [***] and leave mean messages, and hang up in there face, and finally this guys calls me back and  asks why we keep calling them, and I stated the same way you keep F***ing with us, and he said all we have to do is ask them to take our number out of there database, and I said I have heard that 4 times already, so then he called me"an ignorant M*****F*****" which now makes it personal...

7 on your side??? How stupid are you!?!?!?  You use a local TV station so everyone knows you are nothing but a disgruntled employee. No wonder they termed you, your ignorance and lack of though process is clearly stated in your post.  Go get a job and a life.

Truth is they are collections agency that collects on old pay day loans / bad checks.  They are not frauds or fakes, its a real operating company that does actually have a legal department that does pursue accounts.

Please remember that when someone takes out a pay day loan they are required to list up to 3 references. You may be getting a call because a relative or friend did not pay their bill.  AND WE ALL HAVE ONE OF THOSE FRIENDS OR RELATIVES THAT IS A COMPLETE DEAD BEAT!

If you want your number removed you can call them and kindly ask them to remove your number and you do not want anymore calls.  

If you do owe the debt and you did take out the loan and for whatever reason could not pay it back...then work with them (and they will work with you)

I know everyone hates dealing with collectors and debts. But its become a daily part of our society due to the economic times we live in.  Do you best to clean your skeletons out of your closet and do the right thing.

This number actully called my husband's dad looking for him. He called it back and the man that my husband was talking to was very rude and acted like my husband was trying to "run" from the situation.. He was talking about my husband doing a check cashing thing with an account in 2004. He never had done a check cashing thing and the account that the man was talking to wasnt opened till 2006.. So I think its just a scam!! Oh and now its a different number than the 1888-772-4172 it was 1888-762-5195.. After I seen this I called the number on here and it was the same excate place that called but a different number.

These people are rude and they should be ignored.  The power of hanging up the phone is yours!  Use it!  and... the nice comments about these people on this page are probably from them.

They call you about old debts.  Have they ever heard about STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS?  They were calling me about a pay day loan that I had 7 years ago.  I paid $50 every 2 weeks to renew that loan for over 2 years.  The way I see it, I paid the loan loan sharks more than the loaned me, so one day I stopped paying it.  These people are rude and will ruin your day if you talk to them.  Hang up.

have now received three phone calls from CCF-after first time ask that my phone # be taken out of their system as I was not the person they were looking for (have have had the tel# since 1999)- on the second call asked to speak to supervisor-they hung up- now have received the third call and was told that tel# was removed from one system but not the other-again told them I was not the person they were seeking and that if they cont. to call will send them a bill for my minutes use in leaving their message but was hung up on will send bill-  IF SOMEONE IS PAYING THEM TO SKIP TRACE THEY ARE BEING TAKEN TO THE CLEANERS

these people are calling and leaving messages saying that this an important matter and decisions will be made without me if i do not return their call. i cant figure out what this could be about.
