Very simple. Call the agency and let them know it's the wrong number. It will be removed immediately.

Got two calls from this number. Have no idea why. Your post here gives an indication, they are going by my last name in search of who knows what. I tried to block it but it can't be done apparently. Any thoughts? I'm with Telus thanks. Was able to do it on my mobile. Cannot do it on my landline. Thanks.

I believe this is a scam. No reason I should be getting a call from a company I've never heard of. I have no credit issues.

Debt collectors are scammers especially places like Met Credit that purchase old debts. Most of them are past 10 years old, they threaten and will try to blackmail to get what they want.

I have no debts. Different collection agencies keep passing this imaginary fraud back and forth for the last three years and I have gone to the police at least 4 times for help, They sent me away each time, The police won't even help me and they wouldn't let me file a fraud report. I am so angry. They have harassed me relentlessly for absolutely no reason for at least 3 years now and I can't stop them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, stop spamming the same post over and over, stop replying to people and expecting them to stop back after 13 years to answer you, and try reading the information that has already been provided for you. Also, don't be surprised if your posts are taken down. Oh, and one other thing, at least get your facts straight otherwise everyone will know that you are not telling the truth.

False. Accounts are owed to the creditors and can be assigned immediately after the customer has become delinquent.

If it is a "False Account" then it is not owed by anyone to anyone.
