- LisaMy father died in February. Ascension Point first called my sister and asked her for information -- she is not the executor and has nothing to do with his estate. Since then they have been leaving threatening messages on my mother's answering machine. They do not say what the bill is for, my mother has received no bills demanding payment, and -- lastly -- they say that they are going to send the police to take my mother away if she does not respond. Legitimate collection agencies do not do this. The person who called left her name as "Darla Hudson" -- I see that in this thread and assume it is a fake name. --- My mother never picks up a call if she does not recognize the number, so they can leave as many messages as they want: they will never receive a call back. And as I have assured her that these people are scammers, while the messages will still be annoying they will no longer terrify an elderly grieving woman (honestly: these people are UNBELIEVABLE).

- Matjam NarhanThey left a message referring to my sister's husband's father's estate. He died a couple years ago. I called my brother in law and he said that everything on the estate had been handled already. I looked up this website before calling them back and decided not to call them back. If there are this many complaints, I'm wondering how they're still around.

- CMJust received a call. I had been expecting a call from my credit card company this week so I picked up the unrecognized number. A woman from Ascension Point said that there was a bill and would not give me any more information until I provided them with information. I kept asking what other companies they represented (thinking maybe they were part of my credit company) but she wouldn’t give me information. After some back and forth of me not giving info they said I would receive a bill in the mail and I could feel free to call them after I receive the bill to settle the matter. Offered some condolences. Scams.

- Marie| 1 replyStarted receiving calls last week from this so called company. I never answer numbers I do not know. They call every day & leave messages. So far, there have been three different names left on the messages. They are asking to talk to someone authorized to discuss the financial matters of the deceased person's estate they name in the message. Never knew this person was deceased as we have been estranged for going on 13 years now. I looked online & did see a very short obituary. This person passed away last August. He did not live in the same state as us at the time of his death. They do not call us by our name, either. Not calling them back.We are not even listed on info pages when you go to check the person out online. We are not responsible for any debts made by deceased person mentioned. Scammers.

- MaggieI received a call from this number today. Voicemail was polite but stated that she was from Ascension point looking to discuss financial matter of a person I don’t know. They asked me to call them back even if it was the wrong number so they could take me off the list but I’m glad I read this sight first. I won’t be calling them back.

- NThese people first sent me a letter about a debt my aunt owed but never said who the debt was owed to. So we ignored the letter. Approximately 2 months later these scammers called and left a message wanting to discuss her debts. Her estate paid her final debts so there were no debts to be paid. I blocked these con artists.
