This person called today saying they were a debt collector for my brothers estate .    My brother hasn’t passed away.  I’m furious —they are calling me. My brother is alive and doesn’t have a debt owed to this company.   They should be penalized for calling with false claims and upsetting scary accusations.

Looks like these scammers are still in business after more than a decade of complaints.  Just called regarding my recently deceased brother’s estate.

The number they called from I googled. Came up chinese site. Then googled the number they left to call back and seems to be scam

They called my husband's, brothers girlfriends house phone...1 I didn't even know they had a house phone, 2 my mom has not let anyone on my husband's side aside from his mother due to living 1200 miles away....they called her regarding my deceased mother's estate......this is definitely some crazy messed up scam.

And what would you do once you got your hands on them?  Just another internet tough guy

Sad day when you're mourning the loss of your child and someone calls to collect unpaid debts. Smh....ambulance chasers. Death is the final payment, they need to act with civility and compassion. Stop bothering family members, our loved ones ate gone.

Asked for person in control of father in laws estate. Said they had information about one of his accounts that were lingering. I took it as a bank or life insurance policy we didn't know about. We had question that after his passing. So I look up number and it's just a collection agency to collect money from lost loved ones that the deceased supposedly owes. Well not my father in law. He always paid everything on time. Was a big deal to him and he didn't leave any unpaid bills. As far as I am concerned if he did owe anyone when he passed then they can eat it. Should be something they write off instead of trying to take advantage of loved ones.

At least that problem is easily solved by using the information in this thread.
