- KMSI called the number back and it just asked me to enter my 9 digit agreement number. The automated voice never identified who was calling...then it asked me to enter my telephone number. I did not enter anything and just hung up.
- CharterThis number called me at 8:18am cst on November 21. Left a message saying, "1-888-827", then a man's voice saying "trying to reach...", then said my name.

- no1really| 1 replyThe company calling you is ABC Financial and it is in regards to your health club membership. Chances are if they are calling you there is information about your membership that needs updating such as your billing information.
They are pretty easy to deal with and friendly overall. They are on a dialer which conencts the calling agent to your line once you answer. Sometimes the dialer thinks the voicemail is a person answering and after the automated message starts playing connects the call to a live operator who thinks they have been connected to you as a person and not your voicemail.
Answer their call or return their call to update your billing information, it will save you from getting late fees and service fees.- Caller: ABC Financial

- NerWe've been getting these calls from this number (as well as other numbers associated w/the same company) at least 3 times a day, every day of the week, and for several weeks.
I've never answered them b/c I don't answer calls (especially toll-free calls) whose numbers I do not recognize.
A little digging around revealed that this number belongs to a billing agency (ABC Financial) for a health club (that engages in very dunbious business practices) that my daughter signed up to join.- Caller: ABC Financial
- Call type: Debt collector
- ughI've been getting phone calls from this number at least three times a day everyday for the last week or so.
- mjIs for my health club membership. The people were extremely rude. Charged me an extra 40.00 (half of my dues) because the card declined. It declined due to the expiration of the card. I asked why they did not call, they said they did but there was no answer. They do not leave messages as company policy, she stated that it is the responsibility of the members to call in their new information. I can not remember to call everything, I don't even remember what card it is on.

- EricCaller identifies himself on voicemail as Eric Riley with ABC Financial Services, "trying one last time to resolve an issue with your health club membership. It is imperative that you contact me within 48 hours at 888-827-9262....." I HAD a health club membership that expired in Janurary or February 2008, but cannnot afford to continue it. To my knowledge I owe them nothing, as the membership was prepaid. They try to make it sound like a collection call, but I believe that they are simply trying to get me to reinstate my membership. They service accounts for Gold's Gym and Curves (among others) according to their web site.

- MegsCalled several times with no message
eventually returned the calls... turns out its a VERY RUDE financial service my gym membership is set up through!- Caller: ABC Financial
- Call type: Event reminder
- NateThey are like a bill collection agency so the host company doesn't have to bother trackin down the money that is owed to them. My gym has it set up they are a little rude but hey its their job and they got to do it.
- ConfusedI received the call this morning at 9:10 AM. I picked up (after quite a few rings) and was hung up on. After reading over this, I'm even more confused, since I have never in my life gone to any health clubs or given them my information. Sketchy!

- Jeannine replies to HillaryCalled my cell twice today (Nov 6th) and no message was left. Odd most calls go to my home phone and not my cell.
- BusyTimmy replies to no1reallyThis must be correct. Started getting calls to my cell yesterday but didn't answer, no message. I do have a health club membership paid for through ABC. It expires at the end of January. It must be regarding that.
- TitoHey folks, these requests are not real, nor are some of the responses above. This is a phishing scam looking for your credit card info under the guise of ABC Financial and trying to correct billing errors with your fitness memberships.
Don't worry, not responding to them will not hurt you in any way. Report these folks to donotcal.gov and your state's attorney's office.- Caller: ABC Financial (800 Service)
- CandiceI totally got a call from that number just now and was hung up on (no voice message either). Now that I have read these comments i will not call them back or anything. I just wanted to mention that yes even now Dec. 2010 they are calling.
- Caller: ABC financial
- ZukiMy wife has been getting calls on her cell phone almost every night. One time they left a message telling her to call about her Gold's Gym membership...which she never was a member of in the first place. What a surprise that this "class organization" would use another company to handle their dirty work.
