Wow... Paul still has a few open spots for his Alexa marketing scam still in December 2019. Says to call 888-841-8164 if interested.  Umm... NO THANKS!    Can't block the incoming number because it is a spoofed local number.    Hopefully the FCC shuts down this annoying scam operation.

I am Paul so sorry to be bothering you again, I already left a couple of messages last week for those open spots in the Amazon Alexa network for your business. Call me back at 888-841-8164 before the last two spots fill up and you will have to pay full price. Oh yeah, and it is free to see if you qualify. Caller ID is neighboring spoofed 270-225-1649

The message was similar to what others have reported here, trying to get me to sign up for an Amazon Alexa Network listing.  Since the call originated from a local number (802-449-0017) and the caller implied that he had spoken with me before, I almost called back, thinking he had legitimately mis-dialed the number of one of his contacts.  I decided to first do a few reverse number look-ups, which of course all came back "No Record Found".  Then I put the phone number in a regular search box to see if it was linked to any business, and discovered the youmail.com directory.  They identify it as a scam, and have a few recordings of typical messages.

You know this is a scam, when they call Amazon employees to tell them that our "company is not showing up" on the "Amazon Alexa Network."

The voicemail does sound convincingly like a guy leaving a message, but it's verbatim to what others have been posting here.

December 18th...  I should be able to get in over 30,000 calls back to them by the end of the year.  I wonder if they figured on that.  The alternative is, they an shut down, or complain to the FCC, and FTC, thus exposing themselves.  About to really suck to be a US based scammer.

Acually, Paul is a robocaller not a real person so there is no need to feel sorry for him. On top of that "Amazon Alexa Network" is not a real business. Amazon organizes the Alexa listings under the name of "Alexa for Business" which is under "Amazon for Business" and the larger umbrella of "Amazon Web Services." This is 100% a scam and has nothing to do with the actual Amazon company.

After taking a week off for the holidays, Paul is back, this time calling from 802-449-0018, the next number in sequence from 802-449-0017, the last one he used.  At this rate, he should not run out of spoofed numbers any time soon.  I might try blocking the next dozen or so sequential numbers to see what happens.
