After having to dispute charges, through actual Paypal Limitations, I did ask the representative about this phone number.  Luckily, it goes through my Google Voice number and I don't have it ringing through to my phone, however, after they call, Gmail tells me I missed a call and there was a voice mail.  A 2-3 second voicemail, in which there is a void.

It may take up to a half hour or more, but if you feel so inclined to talk to someone about why you would be receiving these calls, call Paypal (888-221-1161) and request to speak to the Limitations department, to see what is going on.

1. Making the foolish mistake of replying to a 3 year old post and expecting them to see it.
2. Making the foolish mistake of using vulgar language in violation of the TOS when it was clearly posted right above the message box.
3. Seeing your post removed because of one and two? Priceless.

This is 100% the PayPal Collections. Anyone else telling you otherwise on here is a complete and utter idiot.

And when you don't have a PayPal account and have not had one for years, don't owe them anything? Do not assume that PayPal is in the right. I have been party to 3 class actions against them for bad business practices. The only other companies I have had to be part of a class action were Honda due to the Air bag debacle and I think 2 massive data breaches. Yet PayPal 3 times! Years ago I simply decided to not do any business that required interacting with PayPal.

have gone my whole life without Paypal and will continue to do so. It is associated with Ebay which is nothing more then people scamming other people.

Can I ask how you’ve resolved this?  They’re saying I owe $2400!

Calls started coming after I filled out an online request appearing to be from paypal to verify my phone number while making a purchase.  Calls won't stop, they leave messages but the message is always different and most recently called me by the wrong name.  Can't be anything wrong with my account, I log in and everything is as it should be.  No e-mails or messages through my account saying that anything could be wrong.

This is not paypal. It's a scam. Period.

Hello I received a call today from this number asking for 500 USD for a Payment they did in Colombia via Xoom (Paypal) on Nov 21, I tell the girl that called me that this transaction was never aplied and My mom never received the money, then she tell me  I had not available funds and they paid but my funds were not available, it seems like a scam.

So weird...I called Paypal and had to talk to their collections department at this number but they were closed over the weekend. So I called this morning and got connected to a medical alert company? Huh?

I looked this number up and saw it's a scam so I never answered once. They've called me over 20 times and leave no voicemail. Obvious robo call of some kind. So tired of all these fake 800 numbers.

Gotta be a scam or robocall. It came to a brand new phone with a number that I have given to only  4 or 5 close friends or relatives.

I wonder how many people the person who was using that phone number before you got it gave it to?

It's PayPal trying to collect money that a business stole from me. I bought a product, and they never delivered or provided any tracking information and PayPal sided with them! Damn jerks so I went on a little shopping spree at PayPal's expense, thank you PayPal! Love ya!

They called and didn’t leave a voicemail. I called back and it was PayPal collection and I was told my account is in good standing so they don’t know why I got a call. I don’t know why either. PayPal is annoying in general so I’m not surprised.
