Actually the man I spoke to was a very nice polite person, they were looking for a friend who had used me as a reference...didnt catch their name but this person was, at least to me, a LOT nicer than most creditors are....Sorry that I couldnt be better help with this company

This is a Collection company called CDR. They threaten they have already sued you, when you ask for proof, they change the subject and dance around the question. Dumb----- don't know the laws.

they were nice to me... son took out a pay day loan in my name they helped me out.. ask for jeff williams

these people are pure evil...They called my father and wanted to discuss the debt with him...I have filed a civil suit for a lot. What is funny I didn't even make the debt..my sister did..in my name. But they don't care....They won't give their address or anything, they don't send you anything in writing..They break every law...there is

They called my sister and she and her husband are angry at me when the debt was with a former wife who get this.........is dead! They continue to call me. Today I finally callled my attorney. I've never seen anything in writing either.

They left a message stating I had won something.  When I called them back, they said they were calling regarding a dispute?  They wouldn't tell me what it was about but had my name and SSN - which they wanted me to confirm, but I wasn't giving them the last 4 digits until they could tell me who they were.

DThey were really nice to me they helped me clear on of my debts and were willing to make arangments that were really affordabel they treated me with respect I alway googel a number I don't know exspecialy collection calls to see what they are up to and everyone always says such nasty things about the people that work there treat them with respect you will get respect back

Stated CDR said that they are investigating fraud advised person was in hospital keep telling information and I was not the person very threatening on phone.  Stated hsi name was Spenser.

They called very nice but when I asked for something in writing they said that they were CDR  and told me if I did not pay the debt that I will go to jail for 15 years.

Mrs Milan from CDR phoned looking for someone I don't know and said they used me as a contact person.  She knew my name, but I still don't know the person she says I know.  She told me he lives on my street and gave me his address number.  There is such an address, but it doesn't mean I KNOW who lives there!  I'm not about to go knock on his door to tell him a collection agency is looking for him...what a way to meet people, you know?

This CDR keeps calling me on my cell and if I dont pick up at work. I have told them several times to not call me at work because I dont want to be talked too but they still do, If they cant get a hold of me on my cell they call my work place too. They will not send me any thing in the mail stating what I owe them this much, etc. I have asked several times and Mrs Milan and Pam have told me that I can face court charges and that I dont have to believe them.Those 2 were quite rude and I hope to never deal with them again. I dont even have an address for them nor a valid amount owed. I spoke to a Jim and am waiting for them to send me something so I can see how legit there company is.Have any of you had any luck in settling your debt and with a valid payment arrangement. Any info on this company? What does CDR stand for??
Also, i find it odd that I am suppose to speak to one of there "Attorneys" but none ever get on the phone with me.

They called my office and were told that I couldn't take personal calls so they asked to speak to my superviser.  My superviser told her that I was unable to take calls at work and they insisted that they were returning my call.  Nope, never called them a day in my life.  Then she said she needed a certain department which happens to be my department.  When my super asked why she said that it was regarding emails that were sent to her from that department.  Nope, I also have never emailed anyone and our emails do not say what dept they are coming from.   She would not give my super her mailing address.  Does anyone have their address so I can mail them a "stop contacting me" letter?  She was apparently very rude.

I spoke to the same people HatePDL.....  Very rude said they were file charges against me for fraud and using my work email....  tried to make payment arrangement and told them to send me something but was very rude and just told me goodluck and they hope I have a god attorney....I know I owe the money and am willing to pay but need some time and for them to send me inoformation.... confused but they are very rude...

DO NOT PAY THEM ANYTHING. I AM NOT SURE WHERE YOU  LIVE BUT I GOT IN CONTACT WITH LARRY P SMITH ASSOCIATES IN CHICAGO, IL (ATTORNEYS AT LAW) AND THEY ARE CURRENTLY HANDLING MY CLAIM AS THIS COMPANY HAS CERTAINLY VIOLATED A FEW LAWS. YOU AS THE CONSUMER SHOULD DO YOUR RESEARCH AND NOT BE BULLIED INTO PAYING FOR MORE THAN WHAT YOU OWE.

I had them harrassing me and I contacted Better Business Bureau. Nothing since.

Fax them a signed letter stating that under Section 805-c of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, you are asserting your right to demand that they cease and desist contacting you by phone, by email, at work, your family/friends/references/whoever about any debt they claim you owe. You can add that they must send anything in writing to an address you specify, or you can just leave it at cease and desist.  That should get them to back off -- if not, report them to the Federal Trade Commission and your State Attorney General because then they will be violating the law and will pay a hefty fine at the minimum.

Oh yeah - I forgot to add that CDR said they were contacting me about a payday loan. Actually I had applied for a loan but the company I applied to wanted some weird paperwork signed by my employers. My employers wouldn't sign because it was against company policy. That payday loan company wants to take a "processing fee" for a loan they never gave me in the first place!
