I don't even have a Verizon account and I'm getting this. I don't get it. I have a prepaid, unlimited, how could I owe anything? >_>

I got a message from this number stating my account password had recently been set or changed, and to dial *611 if I hadn't done it.  I called that number and there was nothing there to help me, and the Verizon website is completely worthless.  Ugh.

Today 12/31/2010 I got a message on my strighttalk phone that I just activated 2 days ago. Messages reads as follows:

FREE MSG:H SAGE: Your 12/31 eCheck pmt of $186.90 posted to your VZW acct & will debit from bank acct ending in XXXX on next bus. day. Any?'s call *611.

Two problems with this message. 1 is the spelling of the message deffinatley threw up red flags. 2. None of my bank accounts end with the numbers the message stated.
Now I know straighttalk uses verizon wireless towers and such but it's prepaid. I ignore this message it's obviously a scam on my end.

I gotta text message stating, "VZW FREE MSG: Thank you for scheduling your payment in the amount of $170.71. On 1/10/11, VZW will electronically debit the bank account provided."


What does this mean? I didnt ever pay that much, Does that mean im gettin $170.71?

I got the call too, it is Verizon, if you make your payments online, they are just sending the text to state they received the payment. I got 2 messages, simultaneously about 10 minutes after making the payment, from the 900-080-004000, first stating they received the payment and the second leaving the *611 number. When I called it there was a voice message stating they received the payment and asked if I wanted to change or add options on my calling plan.

Rcvd msg this morning from this #.  I looked it up here before even opening it. On advice of others I called Verizonwireless 611  (it is my carrier), and she didnt know anything about any msg but she put a block on any further 900 text msgs and  QUOTE "unless its from Verizon".  Which tells me she didn't think this was...

I've been getting the message for several months now.  One says the bill is due, a subsequent one says it's been subtracted from my credit card, and the last four numbers of the card do match one of my cards.   My wife called Verizon, and they indicate it's totally fraudulent.  We've not called the phone number in the text message.

So who is 900-080-04000... tell us direct information.

Got a call from this # its a scam!!!!!!

The message is legit.  I was concerned when I received a text from this number saying that my account had been changed.  It was in fact from Verizon, they had just put through my change of address.

I also got this text from the #900-080-004000 and all it said was *611 so WTF does that mean   and I am on the do not call list  GRRRRR

Received an unwanted & unsolictated text message.  Did not call anyone.

I received a message from 900-080-0040 at about 9:06 pm 10/11/2012 & it said that I had used about 50% of my minutes.............I didn't even open the message..........it just started printing that message out...........

^^weird...mine said the same thing and was at 9:16pm....must be spam.

I received same message which said - your acct used abt 50% of its Anytime Min for the bill ending on the 12th.  Monitor at vzw.com  As of 10/12   12:02 PM EDT Free MSG

Thank you for this info.  I have received several text messages from 900 080-004000.  I have not opened them.  I also called verizon to block it this week.  Apparently; it is not.  This number and other unknown text just started happening after renewing that two year contract w/ Verizon.
