This is a debt collector who doesn't have a social security, just a physical address. Yet they have no clue who they are calling. They call every day and we tell them every day it's not the right person or address... They always state they will update the database, but here we are with daily calls...

Called my work asking for an employee. Said his name was Frank Cooper with a very thick middle-eastern accent. I asked which company he was with, and he just kept repeating that his name was Frank Cooper. Finally got it out of him that he is calling from Credence Resource Corp. Debt collectors. Phony calls that are a waste of my time. Put on hold until he hung up.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

I believe I have seen this number show up and have answered they just hang up. I am actually posting because this address showed up on my credit report that could affect my score. There 8s no name or what its for just this address. I guess I will have to report it. I have seen some post that said it was on behalf of T-Mobile but I have them so why would it be for them it wouldn't.
