You know, if this really is ONTARIO student loan, they should not be calling me.
I live in BC with an "integrated student loan" with BC/National, and I refuse to pick up a long distance number only to be charged! Student loans can call me with a toll-free or BC number!!!

Called the 1 866 number and the first thing I was asked was for my Social Insurance Number. I hung up.

It's Student Loans. I missed the automated message, as I was outside and my very helpful 6 year old is not so good at taking messages, so I just called them back - in my case it was just to confirm my auto payments were starting next month.Call them back if you see the #; they are incredibly nice =)

I have no student loans or debts. I graduated last year. Why would they call me?

I got this call on my cellphone, but I don't have a government student loan. In fact, the call wasn't even for me. It was for my girlfriend. Why they would be calling me instead of her is baffling.

I got this call @7pm. I don't believe that student loan office will work after 6pm, although the message says it from student loan office. And it asked me to press 0 to talk to a officee.  Totally it's a fishing scamper! !

So, apparently sombody used my fathers phone, to call this number reguarding my student loan, now their calling back, yes.. i have a 15k student loan. probably about to enter repayment, But.. whatever, They should be calling MY cell phone.. NOT his. just called this # got their answering machine..

Just got a call from this number 730 pm bc time. It told me that was asudent loan issue and to call this number back 1866 778 0288 so I did . It is in fact a sudent loan call to tell me i had missed a payment they where very nice and understanding from what i seen no scam going on here. I just didnt give them any personal info except my name, dob, and adress and everything got squared away.

I just got a call today.

They called me today but the sound is very low.

Received a phone call from 1-800-668-9398 Claiming to be from the CIBC National Student Loan Service Centre.  As I have loans through the National Loan Service Centre and the National Student Centre, I contacted both organizations.  NEITHER organization were contacting me.  NEITHER group has that number as one of their numbers.  As far as I am concerned it is clearly a fishing scam.  I am wondering if the RCMP should be notified.

This number call me sept 12th at 9:23am. I missed the call but called them right back thinking it was shaw direct satilite. ...The lady was asking me a question I couldn't quite understand. Then she said is it u that has borrowed money? I said no I have no loan.... She said well who's loan are u calling on behalf? I said nobodies, your number called me and i was returning the call thinking it was for a satilite company! She said well how about u give me ur social insurance number and I will see if u have a loan with us. I said uh no way r u getting my social insurance number. Then she said well do u have a child that has a student loan. I said no. So then I let her go at that time.

They left a message on my machine but the name they asked for I am not able to understand. I have no loans. I never went to college/university and am very concerned they asked for my social insurance number!!
