Today, they called two times within 5 minutes of eachother.  NO ANSWER with both.
My bill is always paid on time.
I wouldn't worry about these scammers!!!!!

3/06/15 9:13 PST  Just called here, new one on me, but didn't answer because there is no reason for SCG to be calling me.  Like jj, my bill is always paid on time, even early most times, and I don't have any pending service orders.  No message was left, so have to believe this is a scam of some sort and am glad I didn't answer phone.  Can do nicely without this crap.

Called this number back and it is a non-working Southern California Gas company number (that they use for outgoing calls). Then I contacted their customer service department from the number on their website and they confirmed they WERE calling regarding a payment which had just been made. Best not to ignore these calls. If you do not have an  account with them as some have stated - call and let them know!

They just called me 3 times in a span of 5 minutes to a Canadian residing in Canada. WTF! LOL

Definitely is SoCalGasCo.. I had a 5 minute conversation with them about a bill from a prior address that hasn't been sent out yet.. I had called them, given the option to get a call back and chose it. THIS is the number that shows when they return YOUR phone call. It's not collections Dept as someone stated here, it's their Customer Service Dept calling back.

It was San Diego Gas and Electric. I have two acct and paid the wrong one with way too much money. Called to fix the error and got an option to get a call back. Well they called, I didn't recognize the number, and missed the call back call. Ugh!

I believe this is a gas company number they've recently reactivated (December 2015) for an outgoing-calls-only outreach regarding the Porter Ranch gas leak. They provide a different number for return calls (818 area code).

Yes, that was my experience, too. It's a call center for various gas company outgoing calls. You cannot call back at this number, though.

Called  at 0907 and said nothing. When I called back, it said it was a non-working phone number for the Gas company.

This number--909-305-8445--no longer belongs to the Gas Company.  It's been taken over by a scammer who calls then hangs up the minute you answer.  I called it, and got a recording that it's "no longer a working number for the Gas Company."  I've blocked it and recommend that others who are repeatedly called do the same.

I received two phone calls today from this number. The first time I answered the call, and nobody said anything so I hung up. The next time I let it go to voicemail and nobody left a message. I assume that everybody is correct in saying that it is the gas company, because I had an appointment scheduled for tomorrow and it makes sense that they would be calling to confirm it.

SoCalGas with an automated message to tell me they'll be coming by to check my meter next month.

Got calls from this number multiple times during the day.  When you pick up the phone no one answers.
So very annoying!
