Just got a call from this number.  The fraktards are still at it.

This number has called me 4 times in 2 hours. I answered twice because of the persistence but there was no answer and I quickly hung up. I have now blocked the number.

I don't use gas as my residence is electric only. Doubt SCG would be calling me.

Gas company called to confirm an appointment for the next day.

First call from this number did not leave a message.  Called back 5 mins later & left message.  Southern CA Gas with a notification that it was time to renew my CARE discount & application had been mailed.

SoCalGas Inspection calling to schedule an inspection of my gas meter... or so they claimed in the voice mail. What makes me go, "Hmmmmm" is that they called my burn phone, not my main number. Said phone is not associated with ANYTHING... not gas, not electricity, not water, not Internet, not anything.

This caller leaves no message. I'm reading comments about this number and it would appear that it's SoCalGas. They are calling almost 2-3 times a day off and on for weeks. I'm current with my account. Lastly, on Friday,6/9, they left  message from 855 area code: "You must call this # by 8:00pm tonight". I did, waited for 20 minutes. It was SoCalGas. Rep who answered said there was no problem and it was probably a glitch in "system"

This is a legitimate phone number for SoCal Gas Company.  It's not a spoofed line or phishing number.  They called me, left a message that they were wanting to inspect my meter.  I know the number is legit because I have received tags on my door the last couple weeks that they came by.

No message left, legitimate calls from a company leave a message.

On occasion, I have seen legitimate phone numbers that were spoofed by telemarketers.  This happened recently with a power company in San Diego.  Legitimate callers will always leave a message and legitimate callers understand that many people are reluctant to answer their phones.
These people have called twice this morning.  CID was SEMPRA - no message was left with either call.  Have now blocked their future calls.

Sempra Gas Company calling to find out if our furnace needs updating (to be checked). I said no, everything was fine. Sempra, the company we use has never called before to ask us if it was ok. All we ever got were scam calls. So maybe it was another scammer. Besides Sempra is 1-800 not 1-909.

They left a voicemail, this was the SoCalGas company calling regarding a recently scheduled transfer/move request.

Did not answer, no message left. Others think this is a SoCal Gas number, but I have no business with the company and doubt it is legitimately SoCal Gas.

Did they actually show up?
