My gas bill is paid.  Must be a scam.

Not a scam.  Calling to state an application was mailed to continue the SoCalGas discount. We had one but are no longer eligible.

Caller ID says "Private Number" .. hit recording says it's So Cal Gas Co reminding you to use their furnace lighting service and they'll happily come out . Hmm..interesting, since last year I called the ACTUAL gas company and they said there was a 2 week wait list and didn't sound happy at all..
SCAM!!

This is the 2nd robocall of the day and it is only 8:30. This time the caller rang twice, hung up and left no VM. Will block future calls.

its the so cal gas company.  it's an outbound number but you can't call it back.  seems like they use an autodialer and the overpaid desk jockeys don't speak in time when someone actually answers the call. maybe they don't actually want to talk, so they stay silent so you hang up and block future attempts.  when you hang up and block them, you probably miss the next call that comes in trying to leave a message.  if you do let it get to vmail they will leave a message with a number slightly off from the one they call out on. it is a collosal waste of everyone's time and resources.... but the caller is legit.

Two calls this morning.  Because I didn't recognize the number, I didn't answer either one but came here to check it out.  Seems that the consensus is, it's spam.  Number blocked, problem solved.

Most likely scammers since I don't have a gas connection. A while back there was a similar scam with SoCal Edison. On Edison's web site they had warnings about the scammers who were after bank account and credit card information.

The number shown coming in is from 909-305-8445.  Claims their SoCalGas and give 855-894-3016 as the call back.  SoCal Gas confirms both numbers are spammers.

They left a message asking to make an appt.for gas meter inspection! My legit gas co.has never asked that in my 27yrs as customer!

This is definitely So Cal Gas. They just called me to tell me they were sending out a renewal application for the 20% CARE discount.

The one time the gas company called me ID read So Cal Gas not Sempra! This sire appears to be a scam as their offices are not in where this number seems to be from! I missed call and caller left no message.

Call from Southern Gas company. Ask about to check the meter.

They left message 745pm, they want to check the meter for safety reasons.  Did not sound right.  I have no problem with my gas, no odors.
