Call, no speaker, hang up.

hang ups at all times.  at leat 10 times a week.  all 3 of my kids were just woken up by a hang up phone call from these peaple at 9:30 pm.

You are a very good man for continuing to respond to what can mostly be called abuse. I give you props. I have been on 800notes.com many times, and this is the only time that I have seen the person behind the phone number respond to any of the comments.

Keep up the good work. I'll take your survey next time you call. Not to say I wasn't a bit annoyed the second time, but seeing your professionalism has made me realize that you guys are out there doing market research, which effects what I hear when I'm driving in my car.

Shame on the conspiracy theorists, the outright rude, and most importantly, shame on anybody who had the opportunity to take your call, [***] on this forum about the call, and then [***] about what they hear on the radio.

Calls come in late at night after everyone is sleeping from a radio survey

My daughter gave information about the radio stations she listened to one time.   Now the company calls 1-2 times each evening.  They have ignored my request to be removed off their list.

They keep calling, you'ld think some state attorney's office could do something. It is harassment at this point. I figure maybe they make money from the number of calls they make a day. It just doesn't make sense.

I get a call from them once a month or so, it's a radio survey...If I'm not busy then I do the survey, if I am, I tell them so...they are always polite to me, and I like music, so I don't mind doing the survey :)

That's a lie. I worked for MJM Research in 2003 for a few months. I made research calls to England. So I know for a fact that you didn't change your name then.

Well They just called my house again.Been calling for several months .But I asked not to call again last week as no one here was interested.I get  3 or more calls a day.Tonights was at 9:30

They call my house every night at around 930 when we answer there is noone there!!

Greetings. They called while I was away and the phone was set to silent. When I went to call them back, the number was listed as not working.

The caller said they are calling to survey radio stations that I listen to.  I told the lady "I don't do surveys" and I hung up.

I would like to never again receive phone calls from this number and from this company.
I also already am on the do not call list.

Got a call from this # tonight at 7:30pm.  Wife answered the phone and said hello clearly and rather nicely 3 times.  She got no verbal response.  After 3 hellos the person on the other end hung up.

As far as I know this is the first call from this number that I have received.

I have read many of the posts on this site from both those annoyed and from Mike Heydman.  It appears that neither side gets it.

Those who are called do not get that the DNC list does not cover surveys.

Mr. Mike Heydman does not get that his "people" are calling and hanging up.  That falls squarely on him or other management for not training his callers for human contact.  

I read Mr. Heydman say that if we just answer the phone and tell his people we want off the list, they would do it.  However, when they hang-up without answering the person who was called, it is a bit difficult.

I read Mr. Heydman say that we should call them or e-mail them to take off the number.  Well unfortunately that has been ruined also.  Spam e-mails and phone calls come in all shapes and sizes.  Many of them give you a way to "opt out".  However, when you do, they know they have a live e-mail addy or phone number, and it just gets worse.  So, with all due respect, I do not trust you.

I do know that when you call and hang up it is called slamming.  This is illegal no matter if you are a telemarketer selling something or a survey corp., if you are exempt from the DNC list or not.

If you call enough times and hang up, not leave messages, or continue to call after told not to, it is harassment.

To everyone, the only way to for sure stop them from calling is to send a cease and desist letter to them by registered mail w/return receipt.  This gives you physical proof that they got the letter.  You can find sample and template c&d letters on the web.

You have to give your name and phone number.  But you can make your return address a P.O. box if you feel safer.  If they call again after you get the receipt, you have a harassment case.  If they sell you info for retaliation, you have another case.  If they sell it across state lines, it becomes a federal case.  Contact the US AG's office.
