Google stopped their 411 service in November 2010. This is obviously a criminal fraud.

Just got the pre-recorded "Google listing update" message from these idiots... for about the millionth time in the last few weeks.  As someone already mentioned, there are a cluster of numbers that they call from.  I got tired of submitting complaints to the DNC folks and seeing no results, so this time I went to FCC.gov and filed an actual complaint (http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm).  I'm not holding out a lot of hope that it will do much good, but at least it's worth a shot.  We're a church and our number has been on the DNC list (and regularly updated) since the beginning.  We get tired of these kinds of calls!

Just received my weekly (or more frequent) call from 915-996-2895.  For the 2nd time, I called the number back and warned them that I was notifying the Do Not Call Registry and then promptly did so. It is bad enough having to receive calls from Charities and Politicians without having these scam calls also.

Rang phone. No sound on other side. Call disconnected after 7 seconds. Caller ID "El Paso"

Another scam telemarketing [***], calls 24/7.

Yesterday afternoon someone did call (prerecorded) asking to update a Google profile. I, too, assumed it was Google, even though they are guilty of a lot of things, it seems they are not in this particular case. Anyway, I sent 29Prime what was written here, and about robo calls being illegal. Thank you all!

I pressed 9 and the recording said, "your request to be removed from our call list will be fulfilled immediately". This is totally untrue as I have done this twice now. VERY ANNOYED. Wonder if google is even affiliated with them. If so, they should STOP AT ONCE.

Same here - we don't pick up any calls unless we know the number or name of who is calling. This number called me but left no message. I'm on the do not call list but my business line is forwarded to my private cell so I guess they are authorized to call businesses. Either way, leave me alone morons!

I received calls from 915-996-2895 for the past month at least 5 times a day. How can I get them to stop? It's an automated operator asking me to press "1" to update my Google listing. When I hung up and call back, that number is not available.

They called my office number.  The are now blocked!  They can never call again!

FACT 4 - asking/begging telemarketers to take you off their call list – you’ll get laughed at!
FACT 5 - no "class action" law suits are being filed and certainly, none are being LITIGATED.  
FACT 6 – contacting the BBB – LAUGHABLE!!!  The BBB is a corrupt organization that sells their ratings to the highest bidder.

Call blocking phones are very inexpensive $40-$60 and they come with, at least, one wireless handset.  Very, very convenient.

DON'T GET MAD – HIT BACK!

Uniden and Panasonic make CALL BLOCKING telephones.  They’re cheap - $40-$60 and they usually come with a 2nd wireless handset.  COSTCO & AMAZON SELL THEM.

                     They work beautifully!  These phones also block
                  “PRIVATE,” “OUT OF AREA” and "UNKNOWN" calls!!!

I have had the same home number and the same business phone number for over 15 years and my home and my business lines (both published) seem to be on every call list imaginable.  I bought a Panasonic call blocking phone for my home and I bought a Uniden call blocking telephone for my business.

NO MORE PROBLEMS WITH TELEMARKETERS.   THEY CAN’T GET THROUGH!

We can stop these telemarketers IF we all buy a call blocking phone.

NOTHING ELSE WILL STOP THESE TELEMARKETERS!
