I answer phone, nobody speaks.

No response from caller.

This number calls me regularly, I have explaines to a number of people now I don't even know the person they are calling, I have recieved calls on my cell phone both of them, my home phone and now my office phone, The recording sayes hold on and a customer service person will be with me then when one comes on they can't discuss an account with me because I am not the lady they are calling, After trying to get them to understand that I dont know her they tell me they won't call back, If they leave a message on the machine the number is always different than the 919-821-1799 they call from and they never answer the phone. If someone can come up with an address in Raliegh they are calling from I am going to be there the first part of August and I will personally get an injunction to put these people out of business, I record my calls and I have 183 recorded from them.

I too keep getting a call from these same people, I don't know them, but they keep harassing me even after I told them not to call me anymore, they are looking for a person by the name of "Charles Boyle", I do not know who Charles Boyle is. I got this number a couple of months ago, I have no knowledge of Charles Boyle, I never heard of him... I am pretty angry that they are pulling me out of my rest while I am sick.... I am going to speak to a lawyer about this, they are not giving up.

I think there are stiff penalties for this sort of practice. And - if - they are worth something, they should be sued in a class action law suit!
A posting from August 2008 says they are Absolute Collection Service (ACS) for Duke University health System, their number is 800-752-4172 / 919-7553900 - have not verified this. I plan to go after these people this coming week.....

I keep getting calls from these people, but they use a different number every time.  I'm getting really upset because I'm only 15.  My mom wrote down the number that they left when they have to leave a message, but since they're only open for a few hours on Saturday, we keep forgetting to call.
However, when I actually pick up the phone, they hang up!  The only reason I actually picked up the phone was because I have family in Raleigh.
(By the way, the ask for a "Timothy Harris" every time.)

Wow, I just received a call from this same number, but since I did not recognize the number I did not answer.  I usually then look up the number before returning the call & this is when I ran across this forum.  I too tried to call the number back & it was busy.  Craziness!!!  I'm with the person above that thinks they're using our lines to make long distance calls - I don't owe any debt so a debt collection agency has no need to call me... working in the medical field, i have interaction with debt collection agencies ... and a legit collection agency would call from their direct line & be able to receive calls to that direct line - definitely something phishy about this number!!!  Beware people!

dear friend...thought this might help....i just got off the phone with them. they are a medical bill debt collection agency. they keep calling my business number. my business has no debt and when i gave them the number they are calling, they say i'm not in their system...

same with me...they have been calling me for months and every time i call them back, the number is busy.  Their phone number is: 919-821-1799...i think it's  scam.

Another way for a collection agency to get you to answer- spoofed caller ID says "Raleigh NC" but VM message says pretty much what has been related above from Absolute Collections Service.

On top of everything, they say they are ACS and despite it being Saturday, that we should call them back on Tuesday...right ;-)
Redial the number only gets a busy signal.

These people are at the point in collections where the statute of limitations has been exceeded, letters have been responded to within 30 days by certified mail, and the legitimate response by them would be to respond only back with confirmation of debt-do they really think that they can revive an alleged debt by leaving a harassing VM without a confirmation that they have reached the correct party?

Keeps calling our home...rude won't stop calling.  Keeps asking for my husband and I have asked her not to call and she says"it doesn't work that way"...

They call my company switchboard about 2 to 3 times a week for a former employee that pass away 5 years ago . are they that stupid to think they can collect from the dead ??? we tell them to look it up on the internet his death was on the news .. they still are nasty to my employees , we have sense filed a law suet against them .
