I received the same call today five times.  I then starting to ask them several questions that they could not answer.  Then called back and told me that the sheriff was tomorrow with papers.  Since I work for an attorney, she got on the phone and so far no calls.  I did though close my checking account. How can these people still be doing this and how do they get our information.

A man called a few months ago claiming that I took out a loan and did not pay it back and that I owed the "company" over 1200 dollars and that if I did not pay it back they would have an officer at my door to arrest me. I was fooled into paying half of that. They started calling again today and saying that I would be arrested as well as two people that were used as references. They were rude and threatened me and told me I had broke the law.

I got a call while I was at work and they said if I did not pay them that I would go to jail and they would take my son away from me. I cold not under stand because of the his accent accent and they kept transfer me with different people

I have gotten several phone calls and messages from this number. They tell me to call them back at 213-232-4399 and 714-333-4947. The first time, someone with a middle easter accent told me i was going to jail and must go to court. I told them (after I found out it was a scam) that if they didn't stop calling me I was going to report them to the police dept and to the FTC. After that they hung up. Then today they called again claiming to be someone else(same voice) stating that it was with cashnet. They wanted me to confirm my address and I said no. They said I must go to court on monday and to prevent this I must confirm my address to send me my documents, I told them with court I need to go to on monday, they said my information is not available yet. I told them after I took down there number that I will give their number to my lawyer and have him calll them back, then they just hung up. Today I registered my number off the FTC website and I suggest you do the same. I dont know if this can stop them taking that they are not calling from an 800 number. But if you wish to register you number on the national do not call list call 1-888-382-1222. And in the future do if you get calls from them, enjoy it because I enjoy threatening them with my own legal action. Tell them you are reporting them to the FBI and the US government and see what they say, since they are calling from india.

dont worry- legally collection agencies can not threaten you in anyway. It is a scam. Read my post on information on what to do.

how and who did you send money to. I would report it as a scam to the company you used to send the money to and they can investigate it as theft and fraud and get you your money back. Report it to the police dept or even the fraud dept with the FBI for advice on what to do to get your money back, Also Contact the Federal trade Commision. Hope you get it all back. Every penny and these [***] pay for scamming people.

I got the same call but, fell victim to it...unfortunately due to the fact that I had used Cashnet before and they had all of my information. I have filed a report with the police. I have also notified my bank. They did sound very convincing and gave me the fax number 714-710-4103. They tried to call me again after all of that which made me look it up. I wish I had seen you all before this! I feel like such a fool...Just hang up on THESE TERRORISTS...fortunately I'm getting my money back from my bank!

I got the same call.It was about cashnet too.But they continue to call about every two weeks.I have been threatened twice with the warrant.And he continues to ask about my address.I think these people are sos why would I confirm my address correct or not if you threaten me with a warrant.They must not have enough money to buy the law some decent transportation,because I'm waiting for there stagcoach again and also 2 weeks ago.

Well I was get calls from a 940 number - said they had a warren for me and all the stuff everyone else has complained about - and then the calls stopped and when I tried the number and its out of service - now I am getting phone calls on my cell from 941 - but there is no message and when I call back the message says teh voice mail is over its limited -

Just got a call today from these scammers, couldn't understand him clearly.  Said I need to tell him my lawyers name because I had to go to court on Monday.  Wouldn't tell me for what or who his law firm name was.  Then wanted my social.  Type the number in google and it just proved what I thought.  A bunch of BS.

I keep getting calls from somone named Mark.  He is calling for Wendy (I think).  Cannot understand him.  Keep telling him no one here by that name.  I told him if he calls again I will call the police and he used profanity and hung up.  He threatens prosecution to poor Wendy.  He's called at least 5 or 6 times on my new cell number.

I received a call at my job.  He said his name was Jason Connor and that I owed money.  This person sounded like he was Somalian and was very difficult to understand.  They threaten me and called three times in a row.  I told them that I would call them back and I did not.  It is a scam.  They called on 941-961-8518.  Then he gave me the message number of 714-333-2947.

I got a call today saying that i was going to be taken to court and that I had 3 judgements aginst me.They would not let me speak to someone who talks english.They tols me that I did a fraud on a website and that I needed to get a attorney>THIS IS S SCAM DONT FALL FOR IT

I got the same call today the guy said he was working with a law firm for all american credit services.They also use a number 1-714-333-2954 be careful they are trying there hardest to get people.

I got the same calls:941-961-8518/305-8367371/213-550-4189/ these are all the numbers. I contacted the Secret Service and being that i work closely to law enforcement I knew that is was a bunch of bull.....contact all three credit agencies and put a fraud alert on your account. Make sure to file a police report and please write everything down. the more information you have in the report the better. also keep a written time frame of everything you do after this is filed. It help just in case. I will be calling the FBI local office in the morning as well. Protect yourself from these scammers.

they threatened to have me arrested if i did not pay 595 of accumulated
1495 on interest on a 150 $ loan since last summer 2008. They passed me
to several different people and were screaming at me in a very Indian
sounding English accent. I could barely understand what they were saying.
I called my attorney and she said that i should pay them nothing unless
they would give me a mailing address to send a certified letter to send
and to use to sue for fraud if needed.

A guy by the name "Shaun Taylor" from this number is harrasing me for the same type of "so called loan" but can not send me any information from where he is calling from.  He will send me a "confirmation" number once I pay him $602.00 but not until this money is paid.  He keeps calling my office stating he is going to get me fired and arrested as "I am a criminal".  I have reported him to our security office and my next step wil be to call the police deparment and file a compliant.

I too got a call from a number 941-961-8518. It is a scam. When they give your information to you don't agree that it is your information. The lady kept calling my work number and kept asking to speek to my manager.

Indian caller wouldnt say a company, asked for our general manager on a weekend who is not here, asked what we could do to help him but just insisted on speaking to a manager. We started to hang up on him when he called but started calling mulitple (6-8) times all at once. Our lines were blocked from real guests in need to speak with us or make reservations so finally I tried to reason with him but he refuses to tell me what he wanted with the manager... meanwhile he was also answering phone calls where he was being very rude telling people to stop calling him. ironic.
