I had the number 714-845-0766 call me stating that I owed them money. Said I was going to be arrested on 3 counts. They had the last 4 digits of my social, new where I banked and my home address. This is very scary to me. They got very rude with me,and wanted me to fax a letter stating I would not sue them for any reason. The number they called from was 941-961-8518 but the call back number was 714-409-0208 said his name was Ryan Cruz, but sounded like he was from India. The fax number was 714-845-0766.

Just received the same call and I hung up on him (Alex) and he said there was a warrant for fraud.

starting yesterday, they have called me for over a dozen times threatening me about taking me to court regarding a loan from two years ago.  i have already paid of my loan.  they want me to fax a letter authorizing them to debit my card the amount of $1500 and they will drop the case.  the scary thing is that, they know all my information.  if you receive these kind of calls, report it to the authority.  it's a scam.

The same guy called me 3 time in 3 weeks from 2 different #s 941-961-8518 and 714-333-2952.  Trying to get information from me.  The third call he called me a bunch of names and hung-up.

Hey, you people are forgetting something! If the calls really are from Florida, then you should call 1-800-HELP-FLA (or 1-850-488-2221 for those of you who reside in other states) to complain about it!

I've been getting several funny numbers calling me this guy just left me a message that he wants to hear from me or my lawyer I try to call back the number and it hangs up and I can't get a hold of anyone. This has to be a gimmick.  Not sure what to do.  But several weird numbers I don't answer.

I have been getting calls for the past two days from someone claiming to work for an attorney's office on behalf of CashNet, and that I had neglected to pay back a loan (which was false), and that I was going to be arrested. They also knew the names of two people that I had used as references when I did apply for a payday loan, which is scary. He knew the last four digits of my social security number and the name of my employer. I called Cash Net and spoke with their fraud department and was informed that I had no outstanding loans with them and NOT to take anymore calls from these people. I notified my local police department regarding this!

John Goodman or something, broken english.  Call back a hotline number 1-714-409-0208.  This man hung up on me, after I refused info and told him I researched the number and it was a scam.  So good luck.

Thank you EC for this post I just got home and there was a voice message stating that I had better contact something Johnson at once and to not ignore this message because it would be terrible if I did. I was told to have my attorney call him because he was an attorney and that if I ignored this call he could only hope that God would have mercy on me and my sole. He referenced another number that is not listed on this posting and it is 714-409-0250.

Very Heavy accent said he is calling from the back office and that I better talk to him because he is the only one that can help me out. Some one had filed a complaint against me. He also told me that he knew all of my information, my home address, work and all of my phone numbers.  I got very upset and hung up. He called me on saturday and this was not the first time. I have contacted my local police dept to file a "annoying phone call" report.  We all need to stop these people get as much info that you can and call your police department to stop these thieves. They need to recieve as much info as they can to file it with the District Attorneys office.

He also mentioned about returning the phone call to a (310) number all it does is ring and ring. He also mentioned a reference # of the last four digits of my ss# .

Received at work today 20 calls in rapid session - man was very cruel to co-workers, called them liars and to shut-up, etc. Lot's of static and very hard to hear.  Said I was being arrested at work and owed several hundreds of dollars.  He said his name was David Smith and worked for a law firm but sounded from India (very strong accent)!  Blew out my husband's work phone with 50 calls!  Left evil messages's sounded like they were in a bar.  #'s are 941-961-8518, 254-295-1080, or 254-294-1080. More #'s at work I will report later.  I am also reporting all this to all of the agencies I can.  These are scammers and we do not owe any monies!  When I called the #'s they were all no longer in service or not assigned.

I received the same type of call today from the number 941-961-8518. The man had a very strong accent said I needed to call him back if I did not response he wished me good luck, He asked for me or my attorney to call him back and again wished me luck.

I got sooo many phone calls from this guy, but ignored them because no one never left a message. After I read this info, I picked up the next phone call. Middle Eastern Male with Heavy accent told me he was a lawyer and he wanted me or my Attny to call him. I asked what it was, he said some loan which I never took out in 2005 that I had not paid, he had my info, my Fiance's name, My bestfriends name, my SSn, everything. I told him to shread anything he has of mine or he would find a bullet through his skull. He laughed at me and said to not use profanity so I told if to never call me again. He hasn't called me since, and its been about 3 weeks, which they should have called already!

Lol, i got the same exact phone call with the same exact situation....the person was a foreign gut that i couldn't understand. Then when i hung up...he kept calling and calling

I also got a call from a Indian gentleman, stating his name was Alex Smith, (yeah right?) He wanted my attorneys info, and when I asked who he was and where he was calling from, he would not give me any information.  I looked up the number 941-961-8518 that showed up on my caller id, in switchboard.com, it it shows as a cell number in Sarasota, FL... Then I looked up the number that this man told me to call him back on, which was 310-362-9387 and it shows as a land-line number in Hollywood, CA... But I kept asking this guy if he was in India, and he would not answer me... I told him I was going to report him if he ever called me again...

Yes, me too.  This number came up on my caller ID as "Florida Call".  When I called it back there was a recording stating the number was disconnected.  I will answer the call next time they call if they do.  I am not happy with my number being called by everyone as I pay for it to be private but it isn't obviously.  Too bad Time Warner Cable charges $100 for a number change or mine would have been changed long ago.

I've received two calls from this number from a lady "Patricia White".  She left a call back number of 714-409-0250.  This is insane.  I also received the same type of call from 772-228-4008.  The man I spoke with wanted me to verify my last 4 digits of my soc security # which I did not.  He would not even tell me what company it is that I supposedly owe money to.  When I told him that I knew all about this company and what they were doing he became irate.  I told him to go ahead and file whatever claim it is he is referring to and we can see what happens.

called me at work.  had my email and cell phone number as well, said i had an eft transfer from grand cayman, and i was accused of fraud.  i immediately knew it was a scam.  and told him to stop calling, that it was illegal.  used several numbers, 941-961-8518, 081-816-8264, 904-863-0214.

I got a call from 941-961-8518 today telling me to call them back. I can hardly understand the gentleman the left the message due to him barely speaking english and it sounds like he's at a party. He didn't leave any information about what this is regarding just to call him back or have my attorney call him back and not to ignore this message. I haven't called him back, nor am I going to. If the list is all the people they claim to work for, I haven't had anything to do with any of the companies. What do I do to get these people to stop calling me?
