- HelenI just received a call from this number asking for me by first name alone and then asking me for my last name. I knew immediately that it was some sort of scam because I had received a call an hour prior at 714-333-2952. The persons on the other end of the phone had heavy indian accents. I alerted them that our call was being recorded and that I understood this to be an illegal solicitation. They hung up.
- TipI'm getting the same phone calls, with the same messages. They tell me to call 213-550-4175.
I have filed a report with the FCC - Gigi replies to DavidI also received a call from these people threatening me. Told me that I would be arrest at my place of business. Called me a few times a day for over a week. When I had an attorney's office call them, they claimed they worked for CashNet legal department. I contacted CashNet and they stated that I have never had an account with them. I told this to the person calling me. He continued to call me on my job and I told him I will not speak to him. He told me that I would have to pay $5 - $6 K to them if I did not settle this immediately. I told him to please prove the debt. He claimed he would prove it and that I never asked him to prove the debt and that they record all phone calls. When I refused to speak to him any further, he called the COO of the company I work for complaining about the debt!!!!!! The COO told them not to call here anymore harrassing his employees. I haven't heard from them in over 24 hours.
- Tania'Jennifer' who was clearly calling from a room in India with a LOT of other people said I was being served a warrant/affadafit/citation or whatever the next day. She had my bank account number, social security number, references, address, everything.
I am SO freaked out now. - JI just got this same phone call and looked up the number and found this site. I didn't answer it and they never left a message, but I heard about this before and I have moved and changed jobs and banks so the only thing they have is my phone number and ssc#.
- KimPhone call claiming to be from a law firm with a very thick accent. The guy asked for my attorney's name and information. I refused to provide or confirm information with them and they started getting angry with me. I had to repeat myself six times attempting to get their law firm name and license information. They said a law enforcement will serve me my papers tomorrow at 11am. If I didn't comply I will be arrested if I do not take care of this alleged legal case agaisnt me. I googled and found out it was a scam.
- Rana replies to charseyDid anything happen. THE EXACT THING happened to me today. They had all that info about me and it makes me nervous.
- KarenI have recieved this same number stating that I had legal charges being brought against me by CashNetUSA and that a warrant had been issued for my arrest. When I had asked for a copy of that and the phone number so I could contact CashNetUSa, I was told no because I would cause problems. I was also told I could not send a cashiers check or western Union it had to be my credit or debit card. I called the sheriff's office and was told not to send any money that it sounded like a scam, and that I should contact an attorney. I contacted an attorney the next day and was told to try goggling the phone numbers to see what I find out , the attorney's office did some checking on their own and learned it is all a scam. They definetly can scare people really bad into thinking something bad was going to happen by threatening with criminal charges and calling your employer.
Be very careful I have had several nights of no sleep because of those calls. - KarenI have recieved this same number stating that I had legal charges being brought against me by CashNetUSA and that a warrant had been issued for my arrest. When I had asked for a copy of that and the phone number so I could contact CashNetUSa, I was told no because I would cause problems. Be very careful I have had several nights of no sleep because of those calls. - GotchagirlI got a phone call first from John Goodman (Roseanne's husband????), he clearly did not sound as if this was his name. He left a vm on my cellphone and then called me at work. At first the connection was bad, so it hung up and I started doing some research and came across all of these complaints against this particular phone number - 941-961-8518. John called me again at work and began to tell me that I was going to have to $735 today or pay $5000 in lawyer fees from their office. This was all because of a payday loan with cashnet from 2007. I told him that I need some concrete information and he refused to give me any real detail besides what can probably be googled about me. So then he puts his manager on the phone Mr. John Connor (sounds like the terminator to me,hmmmm). I begin to read to him all of the complaints against him and he starts to laugh nervously and the call gets disconnected. Then he calls back and asked to be his friend since I know everything about him and that he would like to chat with me. He said that I was breaking his heart because I would not be his friend and because I asked him not to call me again or I will report him to the police. I finally hung up on him and he has not called back as of yet.

- Joann| 1 replyI recently received a call from the same number (941-961-8518), and he claim that he was calling from the attorney's office on behalf of American Credit Services. He said his name was James Wright and he is putting out a court order to take me to court for not paying back a payday loan. He also said that he will have private investigator to come pick me up. He has my social security number, employer's name, cell phone number, and bank account number. Look out for the person name James Wright.
- NCalled today, when I answered the person couldn't speak english, I couldn't understand the woman, I just told her that if she can't speak english don't call this number again. Now I know they are a scam and I know that I will advise them that I have access to an attorney for legal suit against them. We have never had a loan through Cashnet and will never have one.

- Anonym replies to miffedThis is the second time I got the call, same guy different phone #. It really sucks there's not much I can do about it. They're probably calling from India.
- MandiMy fiance was called this morning at our home (he's at work, so I answered) by this number. A man calling himself "Kevin Parker" was who was on the other end, and as with others, he had a very thick Indian accent and sounded like he was in a room full of other people. Every time I tried to get further information out of him, such as who the "law office" he was calling from was or even when he'd be available for my fiance to call (since my fiance works odd hours) he had to put me on hold. The different area codes had me scratching my head, as well as him being from the "law office" of "American Credit Services", so I decided to look things up on here. Glad I have. I've since contacted someone at Homeland Security, and will have my fiance contact the FBI and the police to get them involved as well, as he's the victim of this scam.
- MandiThey called again this morning at 6 AM. I told them I'd contacted the proper authorities and they were to cease and desist calling me again and I hung up. They immediately called back. I repeated myself. They told me my fiance was in trouble. I told them he wasn't and they replied telling me that if he didn't take care of it, I would be responsible and I would find myself in trouble. I informed them that as I'm not his wife, even if he were in trouble, they could not pin any sort of responsibility on me. They hung up on me.

- PattyI just received a call from this number on my cell phone. A woman claming to be calling from a lawfirm but it was a really call center. I hung up on her and she called me on my work number. She wanted me to confirm my social security number and stated that I took out a payday loan and never paid it back and that criminal charges were going to be placed against me if I didn't pay it back. She wanted me to be quite and listen to her read an affidavit. What she failed to realize is that I am a paralegal and I know the law. I hung and called the number back. It stated that it was a disconnected Verizon Wireless number. IF YOU GET THIS CALL DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO OR AGREE TO PAY ANYTHING. THIS IS A SCAM TO TRICK YOU INTO PAYING FOR SOMETHING YOU DID NOT DO.

- LisaI got a call from 941-961-8518. I had missed the call but a message was left on my voicemail. I was told that myself or my attorney on record was to contact a 310 number. I contact the 310 number and they had no record of my number or last name. The message was rather rude and from someone with a middle eastern accent. At the end of the message I was told if I didn't contact them that they wised myself and my children the best of luck. I contacted my attorney.
