    When I answered no one would say anything, but I heard someone was there.  Two minutes later I answered but no one was there but a dial tone, so i blocked their number with *60 call block, but I'm sure they have more than one number.  I sure wouldn't do  business with them.

    Yes you are an idiot!!! You wanted to get ripped off then go for it.  Your statement is not confidential, just your revenue.  No one can do anything about it.  People think they know it all what they're being charged but they DO NOT.  So for those close minded people that really don't know that they're just doing their job doing what they need to do.  Nothing you can prove that it's a SCAM but your words.  So what you wrote can be untruth.

    I have received A TON of calls from "Greg Tripp" ex 7422. like 2-3 times a week. Very unprofessional communication style and that is what has flagged my attention to research their phone number. What gets me is this website is what comes up and not a company website. Something isn't right with this situation.

    exact same thing happened to me!!  rate increase, please fax statement etc.  same phone number but from Veronica at 949-861-4000 ext 7070  Only when I called to cancel the appointment it wasn't Veronica at all!  The woman (Veronica) claimed they were our merch serv account - I asked why they didn't already have our merch statement if that was true - she said they just like to have it handy to prepare for the meeting.  I did not send it!

    We got a call indicating they were from "Merchant Services" and to call back because there was a "Rate Increase to discuss".  This isn't a call to tell you something about your current processer.  It's a "fishing" call at best, at worst a way to scam you into changing something, trying to get you to call them back by making it sound like they are your actual credit card processor.  

    My experience is that if your actual credit card processer is going to tell you of a rate increase, they will mail it to the address on file not call and leave a NON-800/888/866 phone number with their message.

    Keep calling and didn't show up for appointment with salon.  Have a bad feeling, they want to see our credit card statements and that is not info I am willing to share with someone I don't know.

    Received a call today 04/19/10 stating Visa/MC have raised prices and if i was the one reviewing the statment. Right off the bat I knew this was a scam. Don't give them any info.

    (949) 861-4000 ex. 7061 - "Amanda" called from Merchant Services, claiming to be an internal agent from an independent company, which was auditing our Credit Card Company for unfair Banking Practices/Charges. She urged us to set-up an appointment to go over our account. So, we set-up an appointment for one of our CLOSED days... *wink*

    They act like they are your own Merchant Service Provider, but they are trying to get your business.  Person that called me was very rude and hung up on me when I asked her to confirm this.

    We got a call from that number and a person asked to send them a fax with a maximum credit card statement for the reason to remit some money.
    He gave me his fax number: 949 313-0947 and spelled his name: Sein.

    Got a call from Univ. Merchant Services.  They left no voicemail.  Odd that I got any calls, since this number is on the government Do Not Call list.  Perhaps they should be a bit more mindful of that, as I believe it is a government offense to call people on that list.

    They called me AGAIN.  Call #9.  Returned call, requested AGAIN that they stop calling!  At this point, I wouldn't use this company if their services were free!!  I have alerted all my work contacts of the harassment of this company and to avoid them!!

    complaining about these calls on websites like this one will not change a thing. The only way to get heard is by filing A COMPLAINT WITH THE FCC. Go to this link and file a complaint report: http:esupport.fcc.govcomplaints.htm
    File a new complaint every time you get a call from them. The more complaints the FCC gets on a number, the more evidence they have against a company and the more reasons they have to investigate.

    I also received a call offering a free consultation, with one of their reps;  when I declined, they were very persistent but polite.  They were also straightforward, as they acknowledged they are actually soliciting business.  As far as a contract goes, READ THE FINE PRINT and make sure you know your way out.

    Adele is very rude....... would never deal with a company so evasive as to who they are....she called back after I hung up on her,,,, and yelled well just enjoy your rate increases...............After telling her we were not interested she was just rude....
