They called my number, talked to my roommate and claimed that I am the contact number for someone I have never heard of and that they need to talk to this person about an important legal matter.  They left the number 951-279-4500 for me to call. If I do, it will be with a tape recorder running.

This is a scam. They have called me regarding my property address. I contacted my mortgage company and asked them who they were and my mortgage company said it was a scam not to call them, that they had nothing to do with my mortgage or anything.

Good work, everybody, these guys are total losers.  The reason they called with a maiden name is because that is how old their information is.  As I said, they threatened an address for me whch I haven't seen in 20 years.  Waddever you guys do, do NOT give them money.  It appears to me they do not have a current address for any of us and don't you give them one!  They're losers.  I used to enforce the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act for the Treasury Department.  If you can't get these guys off your mind, simply call your state banking comissioner.  It's all a ruse!  They also are in hiding.  Ask them where they are once:  Ask them their street address :)  Turn the table on 'em.  They are common crooks!!

This Robert and Kisha Lancaster thing looks totally new to me.  I have their whereabouts narrowed to maybe four or five places in California.  If you have an address for them, please respond.

Of all the other comments I've seen here, you seem to have the right idea.  Send this link to the California Attorney General (something you can do in minutes).  Keep in mind, they are not violating any law unless and until you tell them not to call and they fail to comply.  Up to that point, they're just silly-assed morons chasing 20-year-old debts.  The statute of limitations in most states is FIVE YEARS!!!  After that, the obligation is no longer enforceable.  I may start digging further into this.

I have just received a call from this number and they asked immediately for my ssn..beware folks...this is a scam!

On 8/15/11, my sister received a phone call from 951-279-4500, " david murdock @ ext 222" said he was trying to reach myself. She tried to get more information from him and the man told her " she is involved in a civial suit and the sherrif will be serving her with papers on thursday".

Before I found this website, I called "david murdock" back. Firstly, when you call they do answer as "Corporate Offices" When i asked who this was they said JDI associates. The only way they can pull you up is by the phone number they are calling. They can't pull you up by name. They somehow have the last 4 of your social. When I was finally able to get David on the phone, he had to put me on hold several times as he was "gathering my information". He told me that he had made serveral attempts to contact me (NOT TRUE). He said that this was regarding a past due balance with US BANK for $2,500. I believed this because I knew of an outstanding Debt with them but was just trying to save up money for a settlement. He said that his seceratary would send me a letter to void the suit that was against me once he received the payment information. I provided him with my email address to have this letter sent to ASAP. He made it sound so legit, he said that the last thing he wanted to do was take me to court so he offered to settle for two payments of $500.00 to total $1,000. I was very dumb and provided him with my Visa Debit #. I called back shortly after because I still had not received the letter voiding out the "civil suit". When I called back I asked for ext 222. The man that answered said excuse me? I said yes, Ext 222. He seemed like he had no idea what i was talking about. He then asked who was calling. I told him my name and immediatly this David guy answers. I told him I had not received the email yet - he said if you do not receive it by first thing tomorrow (8/16/11) morning then please call me back. I knew from the second I called back the 2nd time something really didnt feel right, thats when i found this website. I Immediatly contacted my bank and had my CC cancelled and made sure that there weren't any pending withdrawls to dispute. Luckily nothing had been charged to my card yet! After reading more posts on here I decided I wanted to take it one step further and see if this Mr. Murdock would answer to one of the other names I've read on here to contact..Robert Lancaster or Mr Phillips. We placed a *67 call to  951-279-4500 at 9:30AM CST this morning, (it would have been 7:30am in Cali mind you!) and a man answered. We asked for Robert Lancaster ( please note this name called another poster on here on August 10th!) the guy that answered said there is no one by that name here. they tried to find out who was calling and we told them we dont give out the number, the guy then said "WELL WE DONT HELP PEOPLE WHO DONT GIVE OUT THERE NUMBER, YOU CAN HANG UP AND HAVE A NICE DAY". I Found this to be so funny - they are a total scam people -- dont let them fool you!! JDI Associates doesnt even exist! The only company close is JDI Services and they are not in California where this phone number orginates from!

THey have been calling me looking for another family member -- she tried to call (pretending she was an atty) and they wouldn't tell her anything...

Same here- A message on my phone twice this week asking for an Ashley Cofield- have never heard of her.  They said they are JDI Associates and need to talk with her about important info regarding the property address.  I figured it was a scam, but so glad I found this site!

So I just got off the phone with them after I had read a lot of these posts.  I dialed *67 before calling the number.  A man answered "Corporate Offices."  I asked him what the company was.  He asked if someone had called asking for me and I told them they were asking for someone I had never heard of.  He said he needed my number so he could take it out of the system because the computer would keep calling my number if he didn't.  I hesitated and told him that I better not receive any more calls or I will call the authorities because I have read enough about JDI Associates on the internet to tell me plenty about their so-called company.  I did give him my cell number.  I guess I will see if I get any more calls.

Just a note to tell everybody how happy I am to know that these people got any real money from you! Do not pay them money and do not answer their calls.  It's all the same story:  They're preparing a law suit, and it might affect your residence, tada tada tada.  They're crooks and scammers.  Got any questions, post them here and I will answer them.

I keep receiving calls from this number at leaset once a day for a family memeber that doesnt live with me and infact doesnt even know my home phone number first call saying it was about the property then they were a listed as a defendant for a civil case. Now today the phone call (private number today) was about my family memeber getting ready to be sued and they needed to speak right away. I told them I looked the number up and its a bunch of crap/scam. The guy on the other line got nasty with me and said not our company JDI associates. I said o yes it is and your number is from california. He got even nastier and said I am going to put you through to the person in charge of the case and no one came on.. So thats my store I hope they stop calling its a scam and I am getting tired of it.

they called here just now with a recording that someone needed to call back immediately ...it was about property.....i called them back and told them i did not know what they want but they BEST remove this number from their call list or i WILL call and report their number.....sorry to bother u...it will b removed immediately. pfft....we shall see.....

Got a recorded message from JDI & Associates claiming that it was imperative I called today.  Right away I knew something was up since it was a recorded message.  Googled it and all of these posts came up.  Thanks to everyone for taking a moment out of their day to report on BS like this. For sure its some sort of scam as other above have listed.  If it was real imperative, then they would have a robot auto dialing people around the globe!

Message was left on my answering machine Quote: We had made several attempt to contact you regarding this property address (didn't  say the pyshcial address), we need to hear from you today. Very nasty and rude message.
Called back got answering machine: you have reached coporate office please leave a message. I ignored and hang up.
Next day got home from work message left saying I had this number on my caller ID please call us back and mentioned some ones name I don't even know the person. It is very important you call us back this regarding personal matter.
Called back asked who there were looking for had them spell out the name.  I told the person (male) to take my number out from the list as there is no one by that name at this number.  He asked for last four phone number "here it is  and hang up.

this is a scam.  be aware please we need to be very alert.

Looks to be this outfit may be related somehow to a "Linebarger, Goggan, Blair & Sampson, LLP'.  They're all crooks; well, and I have a new number:  1-877-304-6848.  Rock on.
