Gal called, and without identifying herself or her company, demanded the name of the maintenance manager.
I told her I don't give that out, and she demanded to be transferred to him.

When I told her I can't transfer without a name, she then demanded our address. When I told her "No" She hung up.

This is textbook behavior of people up to no good.

This company appears to be linked with  Global Lighting Systems Inc.

This company will call you and talk you into taking a sample of a cleaning chemical. Then they send you and email confirmation that is certain to go into your spam filter. 30 days later they send you an invoice for $1000+ for their sample product and claim that you knew what their terms were. It is a total scam. They go under these names:

The lady asked for the maintenance manager and I told her we don't give out names.  She claimed she wanted to send out their brochure.  I said to just address it to the attention of the maintenance manager and it would get to the correct person.  Caller ID said ARK but she said she was from Dow Chemicals which is totally not true.

Very RUDE woman. Demanding, pushy and most unkind. Insisted on the maintenance managers name and demanded  that I give her the information. I asked her not to call again and blocked her number.

So you bought how many times since you know so much?  Sounds like you know too much or nothing at all like an ex employee or someone who's upset  with their customer service.

Gate Keeper is your name?  Lol, that's so funny that you would actually own up to a name that sales people give you, lol.  It basically means you have no authority and you find your value in keeping anyone from calling in to pitch someone with authority.  A better idea is to screen the right from the wrong- let them pitch you and then you decide.  POWER- boom, it's all in your hands!

Two posts a few minutes apart responding to year old posts with snide remarks? What caused you to search out this number now?

Selling is applied psychology, persuading the other person to do something they might be reluctant to do.
Back in 1982, I found out one of the women who graduated from my college with an Electrical Engineering degree had gone to work for HP as a sales engineer.

Your own words have just convinced that this company should not be trusted.

As opposed to doing something useful and worthwhile?  With a Master's Degree she should be able to get one of many other high paying jobs.  Instead she became a telemarketer.  Not a very good choice in my opinion, not to mention I consider telemarketers as low as you can go.  Certainly not honest work.

You've got that very wrong.

Most people with authority in a business depend on the people who answer the phones to screen callers for them. Salespeople like you are jerks. You have absolutely no authority to require anyone in the called business to follow your demands, yet you still make demands and denigrate those who refuse to cooperate with you?

If you are rude to the low-level employees, owners of small businesses will figure you are a jerk who they absolutely should not do business with.

And in small businesses, sometimes the boss/owner or "someone with authority" will answer the phone. Being rude when that person answers is sheer stupidity. In the situation described, "GateKeeper" could very well be someone with authority, but chose not to say so to an arrogant caller. When I worked at one small business, there were four of us with "authority" - the boss, two engineers, and the purchasing manager (who was married to the boss's daughter too).

Aaaawwwee! Poor widdle troll got caught by the gatekeeper and couldn't get through. So now it try's to run damage control so it can try again. LOL! The real Gatekeepers of the world earn their pay and do their job well. It would be what I expected of them if I was a boss. Oh wait, I am my own boss.. and although I don't employ one, it would still be what I would expected and what in fact I do myself. Don't know your number but you have convinced me it isnt worth answering.

I got a call today from American Research Khemicals claiming they wanted to get their foot in the door by sending us a product and a free roadside service kit, as a promotional gift.   After turning them down they asked for a P.O. Number which I refused.  She then said she would put my name down as a verbal po.  Even after I declined.

I called back to insure the order would be canceled where I got another girl, very rude who tried to cover their story by saying they are with American Chem. And that they bought out American Research Chemicals and that they get this kind of negative reviews from the company they bought out, but it's not them.   She got very rude when I insisted they cancel the shipment.

If they call.  Hang up immediately!!!   Do not give them any info, do not answer any questions

Female caller, spoke really fast and asked for the name of somebody she could send a brochure to.  Not sure if she said what her name was or what company.  Kind of caught me off guard, so I gave just a first name, then the call was ended.  Not sure what (if anything) will get sent/charged here.  Will have to keep an eye out for invoices from this company.

Female caller, asked for our Shop Manager (who is out of town all week).  I told her that and she said she'd call back.  I added (or tried to add) this number to the blocked list, so we'll see if they call back.

Same as the Gatekeeper! A woman called and when I would not transfer her without a name, she hung up. She called back a minute later, probably thinking that someone else would answer the phone. I am getting really tired of her s### ! She has called before.

It looks like the chemicals are affecting her!
