I am on the do not call registry.  I got a call from this number today for vehicle warranty extension. I said I was not interested and to take me off the list. I have asked them this probably close 4 times. I have received close to 15 or more calls from them. Today when I stated to take me off the list, the lady stated "ma'am did you hear what you just said?" You said I should add you to our list? OK I will do that and call you back later today or tomorrow." I tried to explain this was NOT what I said, she laughed and then hung up on me. This is borderline harassment at this point.

The original owner of the scam company the number is connected to is Brian Schatzberg, from Islamorada, Florida. This information comes from a business site that ties him directly to that number and business.

I found his Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/brian.schatzberg

Maybe we should all let him know on his page how much we love the business he cultivated?

I received four calls from this number in five hours today with no message and it said disconnected when I called it.  I cross referenced the number out of mortal curiosity only to see it was attached to what appeared as an aftermarket warranty company.  Being in the Automotive Warranty business myself, I contacted the supposed company and spoke with their owner.  This is not a caller from Key Vehicle Resources.  They do not make out bound calls.  They are actually working with the local Pompano Beach authorities to put an end to whoever is making these calls illegally.  They have asked that if anyone who receives these calls can gain any information to help, that they transfer the information to the authorities.

They called my cell phone.  No message.  I called them back and a recording said the number had been disconnected.

To everyone calling back random numbers, that is a great way to make sure you get more calls like this since it verifies your number for them.  Google it first.

Don't pick up a number you don't recognize, and for god's sake don't give them any personal info.  Come on people.

I frequently get a call from this number on my work phone (American Public University System).  When I answer, there is no response.  Very distracting and frustrating.

This number has called 3 times already today. I didn't answer it the first two times and let it go to voicemail. They left a message but it was just dead air. The 3rd time I answered and there was no one on the other end.

The number was unknown to me, but I knew that it was from Florida. I called it back in an hour, but the number was "disconnected" according to the recorded message.

They called my cell, and on a site I use to keep VM's, it came up Automotive Warranty.  It seems someone from a number that I don't recognize keeps calling and never leaves a message.

Three calls from this number today: 9:29a, 11:38a, 2:48p. I have my phone on mute so I never heard it ring but, regardless, I wouldn't answer it anyway.

So that your blood pressure doesn't rise, remember these things, folks:
    1) DON'T ANSWER UNKNOWN CALLS LIKE THIS. If you don't recognize the number and it has no caller ID, don't even answer it. Legitimate companies will identify themselves and will leave a message. If there's no message and no caller ID, it's a scam.
    2) AND DON'T CALL THE NUMBER BACK. Like others on here have said, if you answer the phone when they call or you reach someone by calling them back, you've just authenticated your phone number. Congratulations, you are now on a scammer call list. Great work!
    3) DON'T BOTHER TO RANT AND RAVE ABOUT BEING ON THE GOVERNMENT'S "DO NOT CALL" LIST. It means **NOTHING** to these idiots. They don't care. Not one bit. You can whine and moan all you want but most of these scammers work overseas, cannot be controlled by the DNC law, and don't give a damn. Get a grip and just deal with it. If you have an iPhone or other similar smart phone that offers the functionality, enter the number as a contact, then use the "block this call" feature. You won't ever hear the phone ring again. It transfers directly to VM and you know they aren't going to leave a message. Problem solved. It's a wonderful feature. Use it.
