Call came in when we were away; no name on caller ID, and we are on the Do Not Call list.

Call the number and the automated menu allows you to be placed on the do not call list.  The recording says removal may take up to 14 days.

Received a call from (954) 745-0050 @ 3:09 PM.  Barely understood the man's thick accent.  Background noise sounded like a room full of callers.  All I could make out is,  "Has anyone in your household been diagnosed with diabetes."  I told caller to suppress my number, remove it from your list."  

Tip: A telemarketer once told me to specifically use the phrase "suppress this number."

When I googled the number, it listed "24 7 anywhere anytime emerge" as the business.  A Florida address - no information about the "business.

I'm calling the DO NOT CALL number to refresh the DO NOT CALL status of the number called.

the numbers and letters V042001144803074 appeared on the first line of my caller ID.  The second line was the phone number 1-954-745-0050.  I did pick up the phone and said nothing until they spoke first.  They finally said "HELLO."   At that point I hung up the telephone.  It was at 9:14 p.m. on 4/19/11.

It is such an obvious scam.  I asked the guy where he was calling from and he said "the United States".  I asked him specifically where and he said "Downtown California", lol.  Honest to God.

They asked if I had any family/friends had diabetes and asked their phone numbers...  I gave them a number to a 1-900 sex chat line, lol.

Received call for the first time just now.  Caller ID said "Florida" and the phone number.  Blocked the number, then checked this site.  The Do-Not-Call list seems very ineffective.

I just received a call from that same number. When I answered, there was a slight pause. I said hello again and an automated voice said, "Goodbye" and disconnected the call. What is that all about?

I have an unpublished, unlisted very new number. I received a call from 954 745 0050. I said hello twice before an automated female voice simply said, "Goodbye" and hung up.

Just got a call from 954-745-0050. Saw the number appear on my caller ID.  I keep a childs whistle by my phone and loudly blow into the mouth piece on the 2nd ring before they can hang up.  Maybe it will screw up their robot system.

I just used #67 to block my phone number and called the number (954-745 0050). An automated female voice answered stating "Thank you for calling the National Diabetes Association." She gave me the option of removing my phone number from their calling list. Credit collectors use a number of ruses to contact you, so I did not accept that option.

if you reverse look it up it says it's a lock and key business in FL  I wonder if they know their number is being used for spam calls

No one responded to 'hello' eventually a female operator type voice said it was being disconnected-I don't remember the wordig.

By the way, how do we know you are not phishing for our info too???????  Hmmmmmm.  I did look you up, and KC BBB recommended you on their blogspot.  :-)

Just got a call from this number, they hung up on the answering machine.

We have gotten calls from other numbers in the past that were from this supposed diabetes equipment operation.

Our default assumption is that calls like this are bogus, we won't even be answering the phone.

very anoying calls

I had the same Indian woman ask me about diabetics.

I received a call from 954-745-0050 on 4/21/11 at 4:30 p.m.  Our Caller ID reads as "UNAVAILABLE."  A thick-accented woman asked for me by name (which I did not verify) and claimed that she was with the "National Diabetes Association."  Yeah, right!  There may be a real diabetes advocacy group by that name in California, but this call is supposedly from Florida.  I'm betting it's a scam.

The caller then asked if anyone in this household has diabetes.  Without answering that question, I asked her if they have their own do not call list and could we be added to it.  She said, "Yes, as long as no one there has diabetes."  What a nerve!  

Again, without answering that question, I asked her to please put us on their do not call list.  And now I will report them to the FTC because clearly this is an illegal telemarketing call.

Received a call today from this number , supposedly from the National Diabetes Assn.  wanting to give me free supplies.  It was a male named Nigel.  I did not answer to say that I did or did not have diabetes.  I asked for their number and was given 1-877-544-9121.   I told them I was not interested and would call them if I became so.

She spoke with a heavy accent.  I could bearly understand her.  I began answering her with nonsense.  She asked me if there was a diabetic in the house hold.  I answered, "September"
Then she asked me if I was a diabetic and I answered, "No, I'm caucasion."  She stoped talking and then hug up on me.

I sent an e-mail to the 'real' National Diabetes Association' in California to alert them to the fact that these calls were being made in their name -- perhaps illegally.  

If, on the other hand, the calls are regarding fundraising for this California-based group (NDA), I told them that these telemarketers are doing a terrible job.    

Either way, these calls have to STOP.  

As soon as you get one of these idiots on the line, tell them to put you on their do not call list and then immediately report them to donotcall.gov (assuming your number is registered).

Caller ID says, "unavailable." Caller hangs up when answering machine picks up.

Well at least everyone's warning everyone else about these idiotic scammers that call. And in response to your quote:
