Got a call this morning.  There was a recorded message saying, "You are the only member of this conference. The conference has been terminated."

Do not want any calls from this number.

Called the number back, got a recording saying that I had reached The National Diabetes Association. Pressed 9 as prompted to remove my number, entered my phone number, and was told my listing would be removed within 14 days.

We'll see.

Just received a call from 954-745-0050 where a man with VERY poor English kept asking if I was Mrs.XXXX.  My response was who are you.... We did this about 4 times when again in VERY poor English said he was calling for the National Diabeties Association.  I said no thank you and hung up.  I never did respond with my name.  I wish I could call these people back about 1 a.m. their time and see how they like being harassed.

Phone rang, no one there. No identification on phone. I added them to my "phone monitor" device (with lots of other scammers.)

A friend who worked at the phone company told us to punch the number "7" as quickly as we could when answering calls like this.  It supposedly locks up the computer making the calls.  Once the initiator gets it unstuck they remove your number from their calling list so they won't have to work so hard again.  So far it has eliminated repeat calls from the same hang-up number.

i am on the do not call list and this number keeps calling me my caller id says name of company unavailable this is very annoying since i am disabled and cant get to the phone by third ring they hang up and no message talk about harrasment

no message left and no one was on the phone when I answered.

If you're on the national do not call sit, they shouldn't be calling you at all.  They would be liable for a $1000 fine.  File a complaint on line with the FCC.

Caller said they were the publisher of TV Guide, when I said I did not get TV Guide, he hung up.

I answered and they hung up.

reported this # to consumer affairs, they are investigating ....

I too received a call from this call center about an hour ago. Diabetic monitor... right. I told the woman from India she was in violation of the do-not-call registry, but it did not phase her. So, I hung up.

got a call from a man, said he was calling because there was a diabetic at this number !!  WRONG !!
and PLEASE do not EVER encourage these scammers / spammers / telemarkers !!  they are CROOKS and will steal your identity !!  do not ever give any info to them PLEASE and report them to the  DO NOT CALL COMPLAINT dept,  google it and REPORT THEM PLEASE

My state has a victims of crime compensation fund.
I have reported this number and other scam numbers over and over
and nothing seems to be done about it.
I wonder if Scam victims can get compensation from that fund.
something to look into if your state has a fund like this.

There is no National Diabetes Association.  It is a scam.  There is an American Diabetes Assocation.  There is also a website for this so called "National Diabetes Association".  Norton finds the site not that safe and it is untested.  I called the number on the site which is different from the one 954-745-0050.  I got no answer.  I suspect if you go to the website and sign in you will be giving away demographic information about yourself that you thought was another site.

I have sent a very detail message outlining some of the complaints from this message board and also adding comments of my own.  There is no National Diabetes Asso and the website with a different no. is also a scam as no one answers that phone number.  There is one in CA but not FL.  It is a hoax to get demographic information out of you and then rip you off.

A semi-literate female foreigner who spoke the worse English since a tried to communicate with a Comcast Tech Support (sic) person. She got flustered when I requested a supervisor and I could hear her ask the person next to her what to do. She hung up. This is the second call in 11 days. Calling the ID number connects to a recording claiming to be the National Diabetes Association but never connects to a "representative". They claim to be either the American or the National, Diabetic or Diabetes Association. This is obviously a telemarketer. Too bad that Republicans will not allow the FTC on the FCC to crack down on these scams.
