This man was very rude. Caller ID said "International" - he refused to tell me anything, no name, not what the call was about, NOTHING! Kept asking for owner by first name. When I said the owner was not in, he asked if there was another owner.  I hung up on him.

I have a business call today asking for my business.  Husband asked her what it was about (usually callers think I am a big business with employees etc). She said she needed owner of the business, then asked for me by name.  Husband kept asking her why she was calling and she hung up on him.

This phone etiquette of cold calls to disinterested parties, tying up their income lines PRIOR to mailing USPS an introduction/tickler to explain whats-up and to contact THEM when not juggling a business day rates an F-

Then we talk about etiquette of calling & hanging up on recorders, which might be better classified as harassment and termed nuisance.

In most cities over 100k population there exists etiquette classes to teach these entitled sorts.

This company buys and sells businesses. Have no idea why they keep calling us as we are a very small pool builder. Woman wanted to know if we were looking to sell.

The first post for this phone# was from 2008.  10 years already.  Wow.

Guy named 'Michael Roth' asked for the owner by name  and wanted the owner to call him back, claiming it's 'private matter'.  When I said the owner would not call if he didn't tell me the reason, he said he would send the owner email.  OK blocked.

It's a SCAM if they call and you identify yourself (firm name) and they say "hello?" and ask to speak to the owner by first name and I tell them he's with a client, could I help, and they say "no, I'll try later", don't give a name or identify themselves and hang up.  A legitimate company does NOT conduct business like this.  She sounded more like a telemarketer.  When I called the number, I got a voicemail recording for a "Lisa."

IT'S A SCAM if you answer the phone with your company's greeting and the caller (a female) asks for the owner by his first name only, and I tell her he's with a client, could I help her, and she says, "no, I'll call back later."  She doesn't identify herself OR her company, nor does she leave a message.  John Loewen, do you receive a bonus/incentive from AIG each time for your LOOOONNNG answer rationalizing this type of call?  We don't need to know about IAG's history or what they do or don't do -- no one cares.  The bottom line is that this is a completely unsolicited marketing call, most likely a SCAM, and a waste of OUR time.  Even if she had left a message, I would've written it in invisible ink and filed it in the circular file under my desk.

If  they are legitimate, why do they ask for money upfront?  Why do they hang up when I answer the phone? If they are such a great company, why do they have to make cold calls?  These lowlife's need to get a real job!
