Yes, Mark, I have an idea who it could be.  A scammer spoofed the real number of a New Jersey court and wrote "US Court" on the caller ID in order to fool you into picking up the phone and listening to his scam.  Ignore.

Got the same thing:  Said US Courts but of course it wasn't.  I didn't answer, they left no message, and I haven't heard from them again in four days.

It is - but then consider what you are dealing with.  The same goes for impersonating law enforcement & attorneys.

Called cell, answered becuase Im familiar with 973-645- numbers.  Says US District Court, answered..... silent for 3 seconds, then a beep, then a recording "Good Bye"

Three cheers for caller ID. No message means zero chance of any response on my part. Obvious fraud of some sort.

They didn't leave a voicemail so I called back and their voicemail said U.S. District Court of New Jersey.  I'm like why would new jersey DC be calling.  Scam I guess.

Just called the number back. They answered "US district court". I asked if they knew why they were calling me. She said that someone has hacked into their system and scammers are calling people using their number. She said their phones have been ringing off the hook for several weeks now!!!

A call came in,( 971-645-3730) there were noise on the line at first.. I said hello and the young man said can you hear me. I said yes and who  are you  and he said your grandson. I said, you sound mighty old to be my grandson, what's your name he said Michael your oldest grandson. I said, you have the wrong grandmother and he hung up.

received a call from 973-645-3730 US courts my answering machine answered they left no message hung up. It is a scam do not call back.

Received call 10:50AM 3/20/18.  Caller ID said US Courts.  No one spoke but a beep occured and it said goodbye.

I have been receiving calls from this number and they don't leave a message.  Looked it up it is the Newark Court.
I called them they said they didn't call me.  TOTAL SCAM!!  I didn't even know this could be done!!!!

We got a call from thjis number,   CID read US Court.  We just ignored it.  No message was left.  I figured it was hackers who got into their phone system.  I would love to see these Scammers caught.  Isn't it a felony to pretend you are from a US or District court and then Scam whoever you call?

After reading these responses wow. No CID on my mobile but if you dont leave a message i figure you're spam

i checked this # belongs to a newark nj landline  a diana chang flagged a a huh risk for scam or fraud
rang 3 times and ended before machine answered reports show high volume of thes calls over last 30 days  suspected hack into nj court system
