Happened to me.  But the caller was female and she didn't speak good English.  She kept giggling and was really pissing me off. She must have thought I was stupid or something. Well I'm not! And  I didn't give any of my info just insulted the lady then hung up. It's a shame!

IMMEDIATELY call the credit card company whose card number you gave to the scammers.  The number to call is on the back of the card.  Tell them exactly what happened, that all new charges to the card need to be declined, and that a new card number needs to be issued.  This will stop any ongoing charges from the criminals who called you.  Good luck!

I have recently enrolled my son in an online school and they called.  Automated of course and directed me to an phone survey so I listened and they siad I was eligible for a 100$ Walmart or target gift card so I did fall for this ridiculous scheme. Have the India woman my damn card info. She then said this only for shipping cost and will not be a future charge. Proceeds to tell me that I also have another free 25$ Walmart card and 3 free magazines as well to chose 3 from her list. I said no I don't want them she said ma'am please take advantage of this. After you get the magazines then you can opt out of any further payments. I explain that I don't want any damn magazines. She then said it's free until you get magazines then hung up on me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF😡 Please help me if you have had the same experience.

Do posters with questions or complaints read previous answers or solutions, or do they merely want to make an ineffective complaint, and join the 99% Nonreturn Club?

Y'see, the solution to the problem was previously provided in this thread ... but it seems to have been ignored by posters who prefer complaining to solving the problem.

Considering the grade level at which they are writing, I doubt that they can read what has been posted before.

I received the exact same pitch over the past several months and I call a roof company who sent the vouchers, but aren’t directly responsible for any of their profiteering. They’re only hired out to do they’re shipping and, wouldn’t you know, they were clueless about what kind of business contracted them. They’re one of many companies that this company does business with and I was angry, because they refused to disclose the name of the telemarketing corporation. These people are scam artists! Why would someone let that slide?

It is a SCAM. They are CROOKS!  Do NOT give out any information!  If someone has some information on you, why would you give them more? She had your name, phone number and address.  Why would you help her steal your identity & make purchases in your name?  Do you know how easy it is for people to get bits & pieces of info? When did FREE cost "$1"? NEVER.   "...they were going to send me a free..."   People have called me too with this SCAM.  From your post's wording, It is a SCAM!
If this ever happens again, with ANY person calling you, ask for the company's MAIN phone number & company's name & company's address & the person's name & job title & the person's supervisor's name & job title & phone number.   If the person says they are working with a company, that is not the same as EMPLOYED BY a company.

I've been receiving these calls for the past 6 months every day. What I do is ask a whole bunch of random questions for as long as they listen without ever giving my debit info and please don't give them your real name or address. These reps are very short tempered and will just hang up on you and try again the next day. Soo what I do is I keep calling them back and asking stupid questions fishing the along like im going to give them my info but I never do. They start to get pissed and eventually block your number for the day and try again tomorrow Lol. I decided to troll the trolls. questions such as (official website, why don't they accept check by phone or mail pymt, where that are located, favorite drinks, if they have kids) . Continue to waste their time hoping they will just get the picture and ban me forever. well see. I have no problem calling them back 50times a day and night. it's actually funny.
