Why on earth would you periodically reregister on the DNC registry, when it clearly states on the website that a registration does not expire?

Maybe for the same reason she feels compelled to drop everything and answer the phone whenever it rings?

I owe Bell Canada some money, so naturally I am bombarded daily by the collection agency, but when these calls started I also began receiving calls from "unknown number" and "incoming call". Both of these ring once and then stop. By the way, made payment arrangements with Bell but calls keep coming. Called Bell and collection agency to report the calls but they can't or won't do anything.....no big surprise! Have to wonder if the two are connected somehow? When will these idiots realize you can't get blood from a stone, and harassing people daily won't get them their money any faster?.....[***]!!!!

*77 blocks "Unavailable". *60 blocks last call-listen to menu and press #. Same for *63 selective call forwarding-make your forwarding # a disconnected phone or a pay phone or anyone you don't like. Amazon sells the " CPR 5000 call blocker ",it has a call list of incoming calls and you can block any # on the list. Your " Incoming " # is probably from Jamaica-they use to call my elderly mother 100 times a day, until I did a *72 ( Forward All Calls ) on her phone To: My cell phone. When I get too many calls- press the " Off Button "- Scammers hate getting bumped to voice mail.

Anyone can block their # from displaying on the caller I.D. How? Dial *67,then the # you're calling. It only works for one call, then it goes back to normal display.

Have you been reading the other posts? Many people are getting calls from "unknown number" and "incoming call" (me included) and most of us are not customers of Bell Canada and have no past-due bills or debt in collections. We are being targeted by scammers - and so are you.

You cannot assume the calls from "unknown number" and "incoming call" are ALL calls from Bell Canada and its debt collectors. Scammers are multiplying like roaches !!

I saw the topic in the sidebar.  I have this problem a lot.  Check to see if your phone service provider offers "anonymous call rejection" option. It might help reduce the number of these calls.

    Just FYI, *67 doesn't work if you're calling a toll-free number.

There is a forum thread about that :

WARNING: Calling back using *67 does NOT necessarily hide your caller ID from ANYONE

Received a call  (7/16/17 at 9:11 am CST) - only listed as "Incoming Call".  It was GMI conducting a survey on current events.

In the first few months of 2017 I began receiving calls that did not show up on my home phone CID. They were all calls blocked by my free automated call blocking system, which allows the phone to ring once and then cuts the call off if the number has been identified as a robocall. I've not had a single valid number fail to show up on my phone CID. I have Verizon FIOS, which has quite a few home phone calling features, so I started looking for a way to identify these calls so that I could report them on 800notes. Found that FIOS offers a VerizonFIOSVoiceLogin option which allows you to view all calls to and from your home phone for about the past 30 days. All of the calls that didn't show up on my home phone CID did show up with both name and number in the FIOS Voice Login page. Can't figure out why some of these robo numbers show up on my home phone CID one day, but only show up in the FIOS Voice Login the next day. Don't know if the robocaller has the capability to block their CID info coming to a home phone, or if it is a technical glitch in the Verizon system.

I've asked Verizon and my call blocking service for feedback but neither has any logical answers.

More than likely nobody called you. More than likely a robot called 100 numbers all at once. The first to answer gets connected, the other 99 do not. By waiting till the 3rd ring you pretty much guarantee you'll be one of the 99 that get dropped.

Why do you tolerate being disturbed by even a single ring?  There are call blockers that challenge callers to push a button to ring through.  Robocallers don't even hear the instructions, so never do.  Bliss!

I have a VTech cordless phone like the OP, and sometimes the caller ID glitches and does not capture an ID display. It just reads "incoming call".  Maybe it's a defect. :/
