v08021551500052 (616)613-2229 This is the number that called me but i didnt answer. So i called back & I had the option of adding myself to their Do Not call List. The company was not mentioned in the recording.

I've been getting these calls for about 2 weeks now. Initially I thought they were calling my cell phone (as the majority came during the day when I was at work) but tonight I realised it was actually my landline they were calling. (I have my landline forwarding to my cell during the day, but when I get home I cancel it).
My caller ID showed me the same Vdatetimerandom@ number (time was exactly 2 and a half hours behind my current Montreal time, and I haven't figured out what the last part means), and the actual phone number was different every time but often did not represent an actual North American city code, and when I called it back was told it was not in service.
Anyway, whenever I answered there was no one there, not even background noise, so I figured it was someone using a computer or even calling card and not getting connected, but tonight the person actually asked for me by my first name. I told him he had the wrong number and he abruptly hung up.
It was hard to place his accent with just "Can I speak to Lisa?" because I'm in Montreal and there are varying accents in different parts of the city even, but I don't suspect that this came from Montreal.
I am just off the phone with Bell (my service provider) and they told me they had been getting a lot of complaints about this and they suspect that it is a telemarketer or scammer but unfortunately there is no way to track or trace and all they could offer was a number change.
I declined since I'm already on the DNC list, I'm unlisted anyway, and I really do think that whoever it is just tries random numbers and when they are in service they log them and can call repeatedly.
Even my call blocking doesn't help because it's a different number every time.
So really all I can suggest is what has already been said, don't answer.
I hope someone can figure this out, or at least a way to stop it! I'm glad I'm not the only one getting these calls! I was getting worried because they were coming twice a day every day!
You have the right idea. That works our to be 8/20 5:38 PM.

I've been getting these also and it was a scammer saying they were with Microsoft and that they wanted remote access to my computer as "there are some troubles with it". I mean in one day the same digits with a v in front called every 15 minutes between 430pm to 945pm. I'm lucky to be married to a soldier who does the computer work for the army and told the guy if he continues to call that I would allow the army access to my phone so they could track the incoming calls. They calls have now stopped.

Getting two to three calls a day with the V in front, all different numbers but the last five are all zeros, I missed getting the 780 number that showed up below the bogus number.I did get a partial one and found out it was a cell phone, what really irks me is that they are breaking the DNC list, the good thing is that while the call is going on the other number is listed underneath it, but will not show up on the missed call list, I am hoping to get that number twice in a row so I can report them. They call 7 days a week and as late as 1030 at night Mountain time. Someone, somewhere has to be able to shut them down, I am so sick of getting these calls.

15ca6a9aaba5 and 18778455988 belong to a scam company. I already report them to proper federal agency here in Colorado. This company is wasting its time; i don't deal with stupid company like this. They will get what they are looking for.
Tell them that both your computer and your phone are owned by the NSA and that you will have them look into it and perhaps contact the caller for further information. Then ask for a call back number. Watch how fast they stop calling you.
I was wondering how you knew that these VO numbers were actually 718 and 201 area code numbers.
Is there really a way to translate these VO numbers into the actual phone number?

I've just started getting these V numbers calling ..... I called them back and it automatically dialed 000 000 0000 which rang and it was Telus and an operator came on ....... I informed her of what had happened. I also have gotten a few calls that when you pick up, a computer voice says goodbye and hangs up!
