They have a call blocker for land line phones that blocks "V#'s". It's already programed in. It can also block names, area codes, exchanges and it can be set for "White List Only" calls.

Actually very helpful seeing these "V" numbers appear, it immediately tells you to ignore and block the call!

I am getting calls that show up as "N" without a number. Have tried looking this up but find nothing. I can't block as it is not a number. Any info appreciated.

I received a call V20118230100018 and it said the call was coming from Ajax Ontario . I did not answer it and I tried to look it up and there’s just too many numbers

I, too, keep receiving V followed by many numbers and never pick up. About to report this & a couple of other numbers to FCC and FTC.
These V caller ids are "robo-calls". Telemarketers, political groups, and collection agencies, to name a few, use automatic dialing software where the computer dials phone numbers. The V number is a unique id the software assigns to the call so if it is answered, the recording, any buttons pressed, etc, can be recorded in their database with that number. This software is also able to send a fake phone number with the caller id and often use fake numbers in the same area code as the number they are calling to entice people to answer. These companies are SUPPOSED to subscribe to federal and state DO NOT CALL lists and avoid calling those numbers, but not all companies are following those rules. Note that political and non-profits are exempt from those laws.
