STOP Robo Calling by Reporting them to the FCC Online
- NolaNana| 5 repliesThe ONLY way to stop all of these calls id to report them to the FCC. These calls are now ILLEGAL and the FCC has made it very easy to report them online:

If you complain here about these or any other telemarketing calls, REPORT THEM TO THE FCC where it will actually help put a stop to it.
Every time I post a call or look up a caller on here, I file a complaint with the FCC. Everyone should do the same. If we all did this, these calls would stop sooner. - Wally| 1 replyUnwanted telemarketing call to my cell phone from 971-373-0184. Sounded like a Robo Call...
- lone strangerNolaNana,
I can't argue with what you are saying, but I am afraid we've seen very little in the way of results. - lone stranger replies to WallyPlease report this in the correct thread: <https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-971-373-0184>
- Bdcaron replies to NolaNana| 1 replyI reported them to the FCC.
Here's the link to the form. It helps if you have the phone number, date, and time the scumbags called. - bdcaron replies to BdcaronIt would help if I included the link.
https://esupport.fcc.gov/ccmsforms/form1088!createConsumer.action - not again| 5 repliesI reported the number 989-726-3007 to the FTC, but it didn't sound like much would be done about it.
They called first, which seemed to be a robo call, then later called and claimed to be "Peak Education". They hung up when I ask for the company contact information.
If anyone knows how to track this down it would be greatly appreciated. I intend to do more then just call the FTC.. - TomWhat's the point of adding robo calls to a specific phone number thread? Are these usually spoofed numbers when they're robocalling in violation of federal law? I'd think the only way to get anything done is to wait until you get connected to the telemarketer, then get find out who the business is and try to get real contact info.
- lone stranger replies to not againHere is what I can share with you. The telco for the line is MCI Worldcom. The details of the telephone switch it is connected to are listed below. Note that the address is that of the switch, and not the customer, but as long as the number has not been ported out of Worldcom's control, the customer may be within a few files of the switch address. No guarantees that this info is correct for the line in question - it could also have been ported to a VOIP or cell provider, in which case all bets are off. But maybe this will help you get started.

IMHO I don't think they have the right stuff to catch these crooks. One positive thought about spoofed calls is that these crooks are making money for the phone companies, and or the internet communications suppliers.
Do you think the communications companies would be interested in catching these crooks? Definitely not!!! - Suzanne| 2 repliesEVERY time I get an obnoxious robo call I report it to the federal government at:
https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2
I also go on this site, whocallsme.com, and any other site I can find and list all the info I have on the company along with the link above so others can complain to the government about it. When I do a Google search on a company that robo called me, today it was 888-302-6222, I often find that the only entries are complaints about the calls!
However, sometimes I find their site & complain about it and demand that they take my number off their calling list (my number is also on the Federal Do Not Call List). It has made all of them stop execpt one company that calls themselves "Card Services" (but I am not done with them yet!)
If you haven't done so already, you can register all your phone numbers on the Do Not Call List:
https://www.donotcall.gov/register/reg.aspx - frustratedI've been reporting DNC-violating robocalls to the FTC for a couple of years now, but their frequency only increases. It's great the FTC is pulling out all the stops "this time" to stop these crooks, but they never seem to stop the crooks. I hope this time is different.
- Payback| 2 repliesAh costa rica that explains the spanish accent. Whoever set this thing up, wanted to fullfill his greed by ruining the lives of others. These people should be locked up for a long time. Once they get out, they go back to their old ways. They never learn.
- Anonymous replies to Payback| 1 replyWe need CRIMINAL penalties against the companies that are profiting from these calls. Follow the money, slap them in jail, no one left to outsource to overseas boiler rooms, problem solved.
- Payback replies to AnonymousYou read my mind. Whoever outsourced these boiler rooms under the guise of telemarketing call centers should be held accountable and put behind bars for a long time. They act like they don't know who is making these calls but the fact of the matter is that they clearly know who works for them.
