"202" AREA CODE FRAUD AND SCAM CALLS

Received call today, was desperate for money gave them a debit card number, but didnot have any funds in the account.  So I called FBI in Washington, D.C.to verify and they said it is a scam and I would need to cancel my account. I am usually more smarter than this, when it comes to something to good to be true. Lesson learned............

Here's another 202-470-6130 offering a government grant for 9,200 dollars with poor English and violent on phone in his own words "I will not call u back!"

Just received a call from 202-562-7893. The caller said that I have received a government grant in the amount  of $9,000.00. The only thing I need to do is give them my credit card number, so they could transfer funds to my credit card. I said give me a new credit card with the money on it. They hung up

Just received a call from 202-459-6026.  The caller had broken english.  He said the IRS had filed a law suit against me and that I (or my lawyer) must call 800----------------------to clear up this situation.  I didn't get the 800 number.

Got a new one for yous. Relocation Services Inc is what they say they are, asking you to fill out an application and give them a deposit of $350 to hold an apartment for you. Ask me to get a Rent Deposit Card at Walgreens. Walgreens stated there no such card. Is there any law enforcement to report this to. I unknowingly sent them personal information until I caught on when I was asked for a cash payment. Phone number used was 202 697-9082

The story is the same, and the guy can not even speak English.  I don't understand what he said ... something about IRS against me. Well, hopefully, with many complaints, US law enforcement agencies can start to investigate those fraudulent phone calls.  The scam number is 202-506-9461.

The caller be aware, your voice is soo...o ugly and disgusting;  I keep your voice-mail and will report to my local police precinct.

first I got a phone call from this number 222-222-2245 she said that I have seven thousand dollars from the Federal Reserve and she told me to call this number202 657 4335 and she gave me some kind of code to give to these people after I talk to them and the code is SL 2021 so I called back and I listen to what they had to say and that I told them that this is a fraud I call the FBI and see this I said the FBI they went crazy at home about to say yes I'll take your number out so this is definitely a scam so please people be careful

 They called my cell, when I answered, they hung up. Within 2 minutes they called my husband's cell and again hung up when he answered.
  I checked the number and it is "not a working #."

HUH - played with the guy for a while then told him he was full of it - in so many words - then he was full of sexual profanity... I told him congratulations! - your call has been successfully traced via the VIOP phone system he was using and have traced the IP address as well - You are not in the USA but prepare to pack your bags - Law enforcement was on its way.  We have been working on this sting for some time and you will be held in your countries prison - not near as plush as our American Prisons - until we can get the extradition papers in order.  HUH~~!  That was fun! I think I watch too much LAW and Order, NCIS etc....

I had a call yesterday from two foreign speeking person claiming to be a Charlie King from the IRS regarding my husband and they were going to issue a warrant for his arrest, and the issue was going to court in 45minutes unless I kept the conversation confidential and stayed on the phone with him while I went to a local store and got a federal electronic voucher to pay a certain amount of money, and then went as far as to tell me that if I had children in my home under the age of 18 that the authorities would take them immediately to foster care, he definitely crossed the line there!  The  number is (202)864-1255, but the initial call came from a New York #(347)559-0378, the slime also provided me with an IRS employee ID # to look like it was official!  This was reported to my local authorities, and I don't think they'll be calling back!
