" 440 " AREA CODE FRAUD AND SCAM CALLS
- Sofia replies to Chris| 1 replyAdd this fraud # also 440-455-0661
- Resident47 replies to SofiaThank you for setting the good example of starting the correct number thread. Tossing any numbers to Chris is simply not necessary. I see little use for the exercise. I don't think s/he's been active for a long time, and it's not like any master "list" was pruned and watered over time. As discussed before in these Chris/area code threads, the list piles are not submitted to any authorities and they are divorced from the context needed to combat a jumble of different fraud purposes. Probably many false positives have been offered as we only have pages of broad assumptions that "dis izza scam".
- Bob From NYS| 2 repliesThat Do Not Call List is useless too, I put both my home and call phone numbers on there about a couple years back and I still get them., Some how these morons are "spoofing" the caller ID systems too, One day I got 50 calls all around New York, with differant numbers and locations, But what was really weird is MY OWN number called me, I called the phone company and they to are useless., I called the County Sheriff's Dept. only thing they can say is shut off your ringer and answering machine., Only answer calls from numbers you know., You think with all the this technology we have you think the phone company would get off there duff and do something about it.
- Resident47 replies to Bob From NYSYou have three or four topics swirling there, none of which match this thread. (... which itself needs to go away) Your knee is jerking pretty hard on assertions which have been debunked repeatedly around here. I suggest reading quietly for a while, and reflecting upon the differences between your assumptions and what government and industry have actually done and promised.

- Dallas| 1 replyAdd 440 219 0401 to fraud list
- Kat replies to DallasThere is no "fraud list" to add that number to. There is, however, a thread based on that number and more people will benefit if you post your experience with this number there than if you just post in this random thread.

Martha Kovaski. - BigA replies to Boss manChris posted here in 2012, 5 years ago and hasn't been back after starting this useless thread. Somehow I don't think Chris's middle name is Kreskin so I doubt he will know you post that in the wrong place. The proper place would have been to follow the extremely simple instructions on the home page and when you arrived there and your cursor was already in the search box, you could have typed in that number and found the correct thread to post in which is here: https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-440-658-8682

- Kat replies to TeeCan't read, can you, Tee? If you could you would read the post above yours from BigA and post in the proper place. You'd even be the first person posting under that number.
