" 909" area code fraud scams / fake calls and texts

I was contacted via text regarding my V-Strom for sale on Kijiji by 909-293-8173 as well. After a few texts, they were asking for the email address I had linked to my Paypal account so they could make a payment.  I made an excuse that I needed to check the fees associated with PayPal first before I send them an invoice as I wanted them to cover the fees.  In the mean time, I did a search for the phone number and it lead me here.  Needless to say,I texted back that the number had been flagged as a fraudulent number and I wouldn't be dealing with them anymore.

The # that keeps calling me is 909-539-4160. The local news did a story on this & other area codes as well. Don't call back any of these #'s. Especially from a cell phone. Charges will appear on your cell phone bill for these #'s. So beware!

909-784-2530 sent me a text for more info, but when I called, it gave me an auto-voice mail that I have NEVER heard before that told me, "CAN NOT receive calls, but will be notified that u called" without a single ring before the notification. I have been getting weird calls & texts in the past few months from scammers that I have filtered. BUYER AND SELLER BEWARE!!!

My Dad didn't think so highly of this group's annoying calls and weepy letters. The "Rev" was thrown out 28 months ago. We do not care how many stock photos of suffering humans they print off, this bunch only supports our policy of never giving money to strangers on the phone.

Just got a text from same number about an item on craiglist.  Is there somewhere official to report this?

I got a text from 909-371-5119. My ad on craigslist is for my house! Yes, actual real estate... They said "Ok, what is your PayPal address? I will send payment today."

I said, "You want to buy my house using PayPal?"
They replied, "Yes."

Wow... Just wow. What is the point of getting my PayPal address?

909-371-5119 item on craigslist ... 'is it available textnow.com' and 'can you assure me I will not be disappointed?' and then this 909# appeared on my phone.  sounds like another out of town scammer... this is CRAP, don't people have anything else to do??
