She also gave a code and a 206 201 2786 number to call. I think they are debt collectors not sure. Driven me nuts, called like five times caller I'd said CTS? Also got same type call from Mexic, saying the were from USA government grants. +52678945623 Mexico shows up. Annoying.

I literally JUST posted a car for sale on Kijiji and within minutes I got a text from "Felicia" from 909-253-7727 saying to email her at hrtpridehey@gmail.com and don't reply to her text because of the nature of her job.

I posted a truck in Edmonton, Alberta Kijiji and Felicia from (909)253-7727 texted me within minutes. Asked me to reply by email to hrtpridehey@gmail.com too because of nature of job. She wanted to buy the truck via PayPal. Told her I would only accept payment certified cheque or an email transfer. I have reported the phone number and email address to Kijiji. She's pretty smart though because she never replied via Kijiji only text and then I replied to her via my email address. Hope Kijiji can block her...at least until she changes her phone or email address. I was searching area codes to find out where the call was from and found your post.

Elderly mother in law just got a call from 909-361-4858, the woman calling said she was looking for our son. Said she was from "The Fraud Unit".  Gave a case number and the whole spiel.

Well, she's not. When we called the number back, "Carmen" was not at her desk and we were put on hold. Can't imagine how they got the phone number.

Text received for a Craigslist ad for a wedding dress for $125. They wanted to know the size and price. If they had the ad why did they ask that? That is how they got my number.  Then they said they were asking for a price reduction.   Then they told me they were from California- I am in Colorado. Who would buy a wedding dress that you could not see or try on?

I searched the number and found your site.  Also it is a Chinese phone number according to Google 1+91+909-253-7400

    909-253-7400 is the scammer's number.

If you take a look at https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-909-253-7727 you fill see that "Felicia" has been a very busy girl, sending the same text to many people.

That 91 could be a country code for India not China (which is 86).  But if you were to dial that number back with just the leading "1" (and not "011" for an international call) you would be dialing the number 919-092-5374 (trailing zeros would be ignored) and would be attempting to call the 919 area code in North Carolina.  But, the exchange would be 092 which is invalid because it starts with a "0", so the call could not connect.

Not that it matters much, a scam is a scam.
