I just prefer yelling at the idiots and slamming the phone back on the hook myself-though am prepared to screech the frack out of their ears (I can be VERY loud)
The Home Improvement & Remodeling Group calls from India on behalf of Call Connect Leads and Home Advisor, fka Service Magic.

BEWARE************************THIS IS A NEW WAVE OF CHARLATANS OPERATING FROM AN ILLEGAL BOILER- ROOM******** they will scam you claiming to be a home improvement company, the claim to fix EVERYTHING, and the only want to give you a free estimate. Then they send out some foreign fake contractor who snoops around your house taking inventory on what to come back and STEAL when you are gone...BEWARE********************
Nice C & P with absolutely no information in it. Hope you didn't strain you single brain cell making that post up.

Good for you. Their weakest link - the agent.
- Autodialers can make 10-15 millions of calls per day (more than 100 calls per second). - Robo-prerecorded messages (often using cheap VoIP connections) can handle lots of people for almost no cost. - The robocall is used to 'qualify' callers, and can handle hundreds of thousands of call blocks/hangups at very little cost. - Pressing '1' will transfer to the business or appointment setter, often with a 'lead fee'. This can be as little as $2 per call transferred. (This was documented in a recent case by the FCC against Caribbean Cruise Lines). They can make a profit placing 10-15 million pre-recorded calls per day, at only $2 per completed transferred call. Think about that. - There are only a limited number of agents, and as this call indicates, they tend to be busy answering calls where someone pressed '1'. If you get a hangup on a transfer, or pick up a phone line and there's dead air, that's typically where there are no agents available. Telemarketing is based on the assumption that someone talking to an agent is actually interested in the product. - In this case, it's a appointment setter. They make money by setting up appointments with the client business. No appointments, no revenue. - During this call, they likely paid a 'lead fee', and made no revenue, no profit.
You're basically turning their business model upside down.

I listened to the youtube audio from the original poster. I appreciate the more time he wastes of the telemarketer the less time he has to bother me or rip off a senior citizen.

Can't wait for Donald Trump to get elected and throw all these people out of the country.
Dude, sorry to burst your bubble, but the Home Improvement & Remodeling Group calls from India on behalf of Home Advisor, CallConnect Leads, etc. But ask for their address and ask them if they want to speak with Mr. Donald Tomahawk - doubt they'll get it that Mr. T is a cruise missile ready to vaporize their call centre. The Sherman Oaks remodeling contractors get so p'oed when they realize Home Advisor sold them a bum lead that may lead them to a local courthouse.
