I keep getting these scam calls from Indians posing as Americans with common American names. My pet response is "I am sorry I don't accept scam calls from India (click)."

I believe some threads, especially in Forum, should be closed permanently because they don't give any information...if somebody had calls, they should post under phone number...we can chit chat forever but this is not place for that
Except that phone numbers are so commonly spoofed that posting under specific numbers rarely yields a repeat entry any more. I will occasionally still check numbers, and haven't had a single "hit" the last twenty times I've looked one up.
Yes, you are right because of spoofed number, we can't trust anything and anybody, but this Forum thread doesn't help either. Now and then comes to life some old Forum thread without any useful information. And here we are chit chatting, see, it is pleasant :) but...that's my point.
The reason for recording calls, even if they are spoofed numbers, is because attorneys/FTC/FCC, etc. are getting smarter and using the information provided in those reports to help sue/shutdown offenders.
I think you might have had too much Cheech and Chong already! Replying to a random post on page 9 from 2018, just to revive a thread that has been dormant since 2021 and for what.....to show what stupidity looks like?
