Keep getting home improvement scam calls. Decided to have a little fun with one of them.

It is. I just googled it, then Google showed them in the right sidebar, with the same address as Modernize. They have a lot of bad reviews, including a review mentioning illegal telemarketing. So, now what's the relationship with elocal.com, I wonder.

Registrant is hidden by Domains by Proxy LLC. They must have something to hide or hide from to use DBP.

A quick look on Google Maps (expecting to find a UPS Store) shows a building that was once a U.S. Post Office (probably still was in 2010 when they filed as a new business.)  The "Box 495" in the address was most likely a PO Box number.  No current business markings showing (other than the Post Office markings peeking through the whitewash.)  Google's images are dated September 2017.

To be honest, I'm not sure Elocal is directly involved with this based on the information I have. If there is a link, I haven't seen it. Most of the responses I've gotten have all gotten the lead via Modernize/Home Improvement Leads.

We are have been plaqued by these calls on a daily basis always on different numbers which makes it difficult to report. I found out today from a call that the tele marketing is coming from Maudlin Group.

Why do you answer calls from unknown numbers?  Turn off your ringers, and only call back those that leave a message. Criminals rarely do.  Better still...get a challenge-response type call blocker.

We keep getting harrassing phone calls have no caller ID to report them. Does anyone have the number so I can report on the do not call list we have been on it since 2004 and national home improvements call here 20 times a day.

You COULD try looking up their number using your favorite search engine.
By the way, scammers don't care if you're on the DNC list.

Get a challenge-response type call blocker.  Unapproved callers don't get through, with ZERO rings.  Not even one.  Problem solved.

I get these 2 and 3 times a week. There sure are a lot of Dave’s, John and Kevin’s in India. I wish they would stop. Always a local number but they can’t provide a call back number.
