The only way these sorts of sheninagins will stop is when the people responsible are stopped. Not fined, not slapped on the wrist, not even put in jail. Stopped from existing.

Interesting.  The latest call I got from one of their numbers didn't even bother
to supply some phony caller-ID name -- the data that the CNAM money comes
from.  The "name" field simply had the same info as the "number" field,
    in this case 2063971983.

So they're making it even easier for their fellow criminals who use their
service.  "Don't want to give a name?  Fine, we'll just supply your (fake)
number, and we'll still get CNAM fees to split with you."

    The mind boggles.

While I agree 100%, it just will not happen. Therefore my second best option is a nice, mandatory  jail sentence with the everyday collection of murders, rapists, child molesters, etc. Might not change them but it would give me something nice to think about while not getting phone calls.

I'm like you nM...the only strange calls I get are when my friends prank call me (along with the very rare wrong number)! I NEVER give my phone number out!

Just got a call from 925-221-2319 with CID of "ALERT". Knew about CallerID4U so didn't answer and left no message.

Thanks for all that info. I see they list all their numbers on their website, which may be the only thing one might consider decent about them. That list is now entered into my computerized call blocking system (PhoneTray, if anyone's interested) that can handle wildcards within the numbers, so now I've got them all covered.

Can you imagine how many people's privacy and sensibilities have violated by these criminals? If there were 138,184 complaints to the FTC then there must be, conservatively, at least 10 or more times that number who didn't complain -- probably more like 100 times that number. Most people, it seems, don't take a few seconds to file an online complaint. If they all did this problem might go away, but it seems Americans are lazy and have forgotten their rights.

Please everyone, you took the time to come to this website to complain, so why not take a few seconds to file a complaint that might do some good at the Do Not Call website at https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx

Oh happy New Years joy, CallerID4u appears to have once again reared its ugly head.
Haven't these clowns been sued out of existence yet???

So I posted and asked how to be part of this lawsuit and have not gotten a response from you. What's up with that? I think I messaged you as well. What's up with that?

We'll see if CallerID4U is really what they say they are.  I have today filed two complaints requesting removal from the list of credit card services which uses their compliance services.  If CallerID4U is legit, I will stop getting calls.  If not, then the company is fronting for robocallers, not providing compliance services.  I will get back to this forum in a few days.  It shouldn't take long, since I get the calls every day from CallerID4U numbers 360-322-6XXX.

First US Funding may be innocent in this
I've been doing a ton of research in to this company called "First US Funding" and their corporate structure.  I believe the reason so many companies are represented under this number is that some of these companies actually hire out telemarketers who work from home.  Some of the companies themselves are probably innocent, just letting people use their own cell phones for business.  The telemarketer is paid to represent a company, but may work for many.  Its pretty confusing honestly and probably bad business practices for one's reputation.  So far I've found only 2 complaints about them and they were very vague.  First US Funding has a B+ reputation with the BBB as well, but I'd like more info if anyone has it.

You do realize a BBB rating can be bought right? Here's the link: http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/business-bureau ... ory?id=12123843

Question: Do they make money calling a land line phone with no caller id service?

How about a class action Lawsuit and since I suspect there are illegals involved, deportation!
There would hav to be a lot of us though and we would have to also sue the telephone companies providing them the numbers.

How can we get a blog that everyone in this website could access to sign up with the attorney who would be leading this class action lawsuit?  They have been calling me 16 times during the night and early morning hours as well as another 16 times during the day.  The calls are in French, Brazilian and two other unknown languages.
