I received two calls from this wakanetwork just today with the gifit card offers being advised to go to my computer and log on to there website in order to receive my gift card. The number they are calling me from is 256-365-8559, this just happens to be the same area code as mind. I asked the person what state she was calling from and she stated Jacksonville,Florida and that they had the same area code. Then I put in the web address and immediately saw the scam information. Just to let everyone know in my area the call was coming from Jacksonville,Ala.

Just got called by the WAKA NETWORK claiming I completed a survey and won a $100 gas card and so forth. They guided me through their website and fortunately I used a card that had no money so of course it was declined. I told the person I would have to get in contact with my bank and see what the problem is. They wanted me to give them my checking acct. info. I declined. I live in Southern Indiana and they are using 502-208-7690 which is a Kentucky number. Please be careful people. I hung up on them while they tried to find another way to get me to pay the $2.99 processing fee. If they call you tell them you're not interested and report the call asap.

Wow these calls are worldwide I'm in Texas and I have received many calls finally had someone talk after bout a week of calls. Each day I called to have my number removed and still continue to receive calls. But the funny thing I act like I was at my computer while she was talking walking me through. I finally told her I'm just getting in and I am not typing anything in my computer for scams and I was just seeing where this was going.  I don't trust this because when it sounds to good to be true I have learned its a charge coming some time or another. All I can say when it sounds to good to be true it's a scam and plus if you don't have an idea what there talking about you did its a scam.

I got the call from what looked like a local number 918-928-214.  It was from a person because she kept trying to tell me the "wakanetwork" thing was a secure site verified by Verisign and Norton, but there was no https: in the address bar and I didn't fall for it.
Also, while she thought I was filling out the credit card information on "step 2" I actually googled waka and got this site and told her no thank you it was a scam and hung up on her.  I cleared all the name, address, phone number info out before I closed my screen.
I'm reporting to the FCC now.
I hope all that worked and nothing was done, they didn't get a hint of my card number, so it should be okay.
I'm kinda proud of myself for thinking before I acted!!!!!!

The scammers have captured everything you typed on the form along with your phone number. You can expect more scam calls. If you gave them your email address you'll get more scam and spam email.  If you gave gave them your snail mail address you'll get more snail mail from them.  You may also get calls from them threatening to come arrest you for not making payments on the loan you didn't get.  Ignore all of that stuff.

I went back to the previous screen and deleted all the typed in fields before I closed the screen, hopefully that worked.  If not, oh well...I just filled out the FCC complaint form.

I just recieved a call from these low-lifes. When they gave me their name I typed into the search bar and voila! hen the whole time I was reading this forum. The number they gave me after I prodded them was (879) 332-1490. She was very hesitant to give any information. I had a little fun with them.:)

Sounds like what I have been seeing on Facebook. Thankfully I knew better than to fall for it and that I hate Wal Mart.

I just got a call from 803-702-0375. This is the area code in which I live. These people have been trying to get me to go online for 2 weeks now. They always call when I am at work. I can't get to my computer if I am at work. My computer is at home. Just so happens that today I am at home and got the call. I went online & googled the website that the woman told me about. When I googled it I noticed that there was a wakanetwork scam website as well. I got suspicious at that point. Just for giggles I continued on with her request until I got to the part where she wanted my credit card number. At that point I told her that I was not interested. Sounds like these people just are out to get money from hard working people. They should get a real job!
