As a fan of the Muppet's, the name Waka Network alone raises a red flag.

I got scamed by them for the 1st time in 11/2012. They were offering a $10 walmart gift card, $100 in coupons for free gas....for a one week trial of their membership costing only $2.99. The benefits are yours to keep, whether or not you join at the end of the trial. So I charged the $.2.99 to one to one of my cards, downloaded claims for the gas, gift card etc...3 days later I called to cancel before the end of the trial. They said no problem, give me a confirm number...as soon as I did that they started trying to charge my debit card for the monthly cost of their membership i.e. $59.95!!!! Fortunately for me I had less than $50 on that prepaid debit card at that time, and the transaction was declined. After that they attempted every 2 days for about five months to put that fraudulent fee thru again!! I knew immediately when they did, cuz my card sends me a text every time there's activity on my card, Eventually I had to cancel the card and replace it to get a new number, so they would no longer have it. Today, 3/31/2013, I received another call from one of their operators, telling me to go on line to their website to get my free benefits because I had filled out the walmart survey! What a nerve. I told the woman what I thought of their organization and hung up. They were calling from a local number, to give people a warm and fuzzy feeling...! I tried to call it back but the line goes blank (no ring). I work for Verizon so I was able to check it out. That number doesn't exist, it's being spoofed from another TN which can't be detected because it's VoIP (internet!). By the way last year I kept submitting gas refunds at the tune off $10 each, for 4 months, and never got any money, nor the gift card!

and they didn't start charging your card after that? you're lucky. But be careful, they do it very sporadically, and it could happen when you least expect it!

yes, they're getting smarter! They don't use real TNs anymore, because when people get wise to what they're doing they would call them back and hassle them! Also, now that they're spoofing numbers, they don't use real numbers either (like they did with yours), because when people find out, they start making waves and reporting them, and they want this fraud to keep on going. How long is this going to last? How many people need to be ripped off before the FTC does something? We know who they are, an where they originate. The BBB tells you all about it when you go on their site, including the advice to stay away from them!

Hello everyone these SCAMMERS are very presitant almost demanding. If you are not strong enough to say no please just hang up. Don't feel bad about hurting their feelings because they don't care anything about you just your $$$$. I live in Birmingjham, Alabama and the number the that woman  called me from was my area code 205-216-3063 & 800-217-1876. Let us tax payers and law abiding citizens report these SCAMMERS to the FCC.

Hey Sammy I guess they are trying Aabama today I too Googled  wakanetwork and I found this website after I hung up the phone. She said do not type www just type wakanetwork.com. Offering $100 gas card can be tempting with gas prices being so high. We mst remember  that nothing in this world is free

I didn't even finish the survey form and as soon as they had my card info I got debited $2.99 when I checked my bank account.  I had my card trashed to prevent any further charges . Wish I had read the forum first. Straight up sucker.
