I want to Thank all of these messages . I was trying to find out about this because I just received a call a few min. Ago. Thank You very much for letting me know that this is a sorry & if that is how I got payed by doing people that sorry / They can stick it. I would not need money for that & Really the so called boss should be unforgiving. You should treat people like you want to be treated. I want to be treated right.
I too also got these calls. 4 in one day. Seen what it was and told the gal I don't think so, NO! Hung up on her. Then I read this article. So knew I was right on with it being a scam. They tried three more times to call, I didn't answer two of those, the third time I answered I told the rude woman not to call here again and that I was filing a report with the FTC etc. and they actually didn't call back after that. *shocker* Weird.
I'm surprised after reading this article on the newer posts that they have not. But I've taken up turning the phone on and right back off as was suggested to do here when I don't recognize a number. Don't seem to be getting near as many calls now. I'm thinking this might disrupt the call actually going through completely. I say this because I have noted if I pick up the phone too quickly to answer it, I get disconnected from whoever is (legitimately) really calling us. So now we tend to let it ring 3 times before answering if it is someone we know.
Too funny!
Though you may never read this, I sincerely commend you for admitting that you were trained to BS people as telemarketer which, from what you have written, I infer was your job perhaps many years ago. Technology has changed since your days in the trenches, leading to spoofed numbers and exceptionally rude telejerks. Also, it seems like you have a real conscience for feeling like receiving the harassing scam crap from our lovely telemarketers of the 21st century is some kinda karmic payback. Good luck with these new aged crooks. You have made it to their lists, along with the rest of us annoyed suckers. Years ago, the folks who called were polite, and I treated them in kind. The World has changed a ton since then, and I have zero compunction for being rude to harassing callers anymore. Good on Ya!
I received a call today from the same company. Before I would let them go any further I asked the lady directly if they are going to ask for credit/debit card information, she said no if was totally free. I began following the instructions as she gave them to me. Of course step 2 was asking for credit card info. I told her more than 10 times that I wouldn't and could not provide the info. She kept going on about how they would be closed down if they misused my info. I continued to tell her that I didn't have the info and she kept repeating the same line like it is their dialog. I finally got VERY upset, cursed her out and hung up. I called back to speak with a manager or supervisor, they refused to transfer me because I am not an official member because I never gave them my info. I stated I would be reporting them to the BBB and the woman said if that is what you feel you need to do, do it. The number that came across my caller ID was 734-494-2285 (I am located in Michigan). I even tried to click the link to send them a email and of course it didn't work!!!! There has to be something someone can do. A class action suit sounds good to me! They are totally scamming people!!
They mentioned to me that if I am on a fixed income "IT IS A GREAT DEAL". I highly doubt that! If you actually win something you don't have to pay out of pocket. Hopefully enough people catch on and this place is closed down for good! Best of luck to you!
I got a call from them today and they wanted me to go to their website to be able to get their "prize gift cards" for completing some survey. I only have internet on my smartphone and I don't always have a strong signal. I was using Google search and it wasn't going to the next page. She hung up. Later it went to the next page and I saw this site. I'm glad it didn't go through earlier. Thanks for the heads up everyone. Though I have to say. I won't pay for something that's supposed to be a free gift.
I have only had 2 calls from this "Robot" woman. She calls from this number: 253-237-9020. So add that one to your list.
They just called me as well. It was a (401) # which is local to me in Providence. I had TONS of missed calls from them, out of curiosity I finally answered. I knew it was a recording and a scam right away. When I looked it up, I found this page.
The have called me 5 times from 912-200-7032. I finally talked to them today. When I went to the computer to type in the web site, I immediately saw the site that said it was a scam. I just hung up. I am going to call Wal Mart and complain.
To Kitty Chow: Kitty Chow I like your spunk. Good
Gal/Guy?
Good idea - a telephone Denial Of Service attack. If 10 people collaborate to call the number 200 times in the same time period their phone system would freak out.
THANK YOU!!! for this information. If it wasn't posted I would be screwed. I wanted the roadside service that's how they got me interested. I cancelled them from my card so if they contact my card I'll get a notice from my card holder. I just don't understand how come the feds don't shut them down! There has to be away to stop those kind of companies from taking advantage of unsuspecting people. Again Thank YOU so much!!
