You'd think twice about a career in telemarketing thats for sure. On the other hand, as someone in IT, would it be ethical to offer to repair the damaged equipment? After all, it was my equipment which was the cause of the damage in the first place?

LOL! Might be hard to if they got such a quick disconnection..  so Nah! Might not be able to get through for awhile to them.

I've always wanted a zapper to discombobulate those sound systems that make you think your in the middle of a earthquake and the car causing it sits 5 cars back and your is the one inching its way across the line from the vibrations even though you have both feet on the brakes.   Might be a good zapper for the telemarketer calls too.. :)

I just pull along side and blast Perry Como. I get very strange looks. Just bob my head forward and give the thumbs up to my fellow music lover. Not THAT old, I just happen to like Perry and his ilk!

Good night from the Atlantic Time Zone.  ZZZZZZZ

    Hello Herman,
Hope you like Puerto Rico.  I thought it was a beautiful island.

I have discovered that should I be at the computer and a call comes in, I can go to the phonetray call log, right click and click on the option "Add to Privacy Manager and block number(s)".  Obviously it only works if you are next to the laptop running PHONETRAY.  (If you have to run down the stairs to click on the call you might break your neck).

Next step is to zap spoofed numbers.  I have read that software people that are working the issue since more information than just a name and number are being transmitted in caller ID.

Thanks again for all your help.

The wikisend link isn't working for me... Is the file still there?

I just downloaded version 1.31 (size = 13,222 Kb); what will I be missing by using it instead of v 1.39?

    Thaks!

CORRECTION:  The installation of the "old" version I found reverted to the latest version of PhoneTrayPRO...

I would be grateful for links &/or suggestions to get PhoneTrayFree 1.3x

    THANKS!

    gerhard...
I experienced the same redirects you did, and have only been able to download the PRO version.

I would be quite grateful if you can temporarily place a copy on a DropBox share,or via https://www.Sharefest.me  and communicate the link.

    Thanks in advance...

Thats an old link that was only good for 7 days.

I uploaded a new link for phonetray 1.39 free version. It will be available for 90-days starting today.

    Gerhard:

Yes, Puerto Rico is nice. Working 80km outside San Juan in the city of Arecibo. Have had some time to sight see. Tropical rainforests, luminescent waters at Vieques, Old San Juan... You know you've been here a while when the staff at restaurants and supermarkets call you by name when you arrive!

Since I can't test phonetray from my laptop here, I've looked at the phonetray forum and don't think blocking spoofed numbers other than treating them as genuine numbers and blocking that way is currently feasible. You might want to look at nomorobo. That will take care of that issue as soon as its becomes mainstream.

    THANK YOU!!!

I have downloaded & successfully installed.  Will be testing & evaluating over the next few days.

FYI< I have been using Verizon's "Call Assistant", which had some nice features, but they recently announced it will be retired in January 2014, so I am hoping PhoneTrayFree will fill the gap & more.

Wishing you a most enjoyable Holiday season.
    Cheers!

No problem. Just helping out a fellow citizen of Gotham. Phonetray has served me very well since 2010. Still use it to this very day.

I've seen mixed reviews of Digitone... Are you happy with it?  Can you (briefly) list the best & the most frustrating features?

There are a couple of shortcomings with the Digitone:
1 – Only blocks 140 numbers (and 20 names), which is quite inadequate
    2 – It's very overpriced (about $100)

    There are other options:

The T-Lock Pro Call Blocker costs about $55-60 and can block about 1500 numbers. It doesn't, as far as I can tell, let you block by caller name. Given the choice between the T-Lock and the Digitone you have to decide if giving up 20 caller names is more of a downside than giving up 1360 numbers (and take the big price difference into account).

I work from a home office a lot where I have my computer on, so I use PhoneTray Free software. It can recognize a virtually unlimited number of caller names *and* numbers. See Herman's link: http://wikisend.com/download/347540/

Can anyone suggest a way to export the call log from PhoneTrayFree 1.39?  The PhoneTray Forum suggest that feature was built-in to the PRO version 2.x

Where does PhoneTrayFree write the data to?

    Thanks in advance!
