You're just a SHILL or a TROLL!

Gunnar - Gary replies to Nope| 9 repliesAttempted scam giving me 3 options to pay claim I don’t owe. They say they are representing Hartford Insurance Co. my insurance company arbitrated with Hartford over accident I wasn’t involved in but they claimed I caused it. I guess Hartford lost the arbitration or my insurance company would have paid them. Now (after arbitration) Wilbur and associates wants my insurance information and is offering me 3 generous options for payment. I don’t owe them one nickel. And that’s what they will get out of me. NOTHING
- Tygerkat replies to Gary| 5 repliesIf you weren't involved in the accident, why would your insurance company pay anyone?
- Gunnar replies to Tygerkat| 4 repliesI can think of several scenarios where that might be the case. None of which are relevant because Wilbur & crew are so full of it that the wearing of dark earth-tones is a necessity in their offices.
Live Well.
Gunnar - Tygerkat replies to Gunnar| 3 repliesSo if I'm not involved in an accident, my insurance company might still pay for it?!
- Yes replies to Tygerkatif you were the cause of the accident. You can cause an accident without actually being in it. For instance if you were texting and driving and swerved into the other lane. The car next to you swerved to get out of your way and hit another car or the median divider. You drive off undamaged, but you caused the accident.
- William replies to Gary| 1 replyYour story confuses me. You were not involved in the accident?
"I guess Hartford lost the arbitration or my insurance company would have paid them."
Your insurance company would have contacted you for your side of the story. Did they?
"Wilbur and Associates" is making a claim against you but provides no proof, demands your insurance information?
Some people, when their insurance claim is denied, or does not result in enough money, or has no insurance or inadequate insurance, will seek to get more money outside the insurance system by contacting the other party / parties directly claiming the others owe them money. Make several copies of this letter, send the original to your insurance company, send one to your lawyer, and keep the rest.
They cannot force you to pay without going to court.
Wikipedia has a very long section about fraud regarding Automobile insurance.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insurance_fraud#Automobile_insurance - Gunnar replies to TygerkatAs an example, say you were broken down in a traffic lane at night. Your lights weren't on & a car came from behind and had to swerve to avoid your vehicle. Damage was incurred to the swerving car but not to yours. An intrepid attorney would attempt to claim that you were at least partially to blame. Perhaps correctly. If you were found at fault, your insurance company would be unhappy with you but would still be shelling out some money.
Another example would be if a tree on your property fell on to a road & was struck by a car. Your auto. insurance company wouldn't be involved but your home owners insurance company might be. Attorneys can be very crafty. I should know, my wife is one of them!
Again, none of this has anything to do with Wilbur & crew. They're simply bottom-feeders.
Alska,
