Now had you posted in the correct thread you would have been able to read what you needed to know and do.  Like how they have to mail you the information as required by law.

Just received a call from an automated voice saying they are looking for my location. I called the number back and it was Forward Movement Recovery. No one answered. Then finally received a recording to leave a message. Tried to leave a message and the mailbox was full. I've been doing call center work and debt collection for years and normally you just wait for the next representative

I have received this same call . They also called my 92 year old father & roommates cellphone. I told them they must not call any family member again. Of course they said the same thing all have said..they could not talk further until they confirmed my address ect. I said i would not give out that info and she said was the address she had on file the correct address. I said no. She said since i would not confirm that this was me that she would just mail me the letter to proceed further. I said i am a paralegal and to be sure to send letter so i could proceed further action myself. She hung up on me of course. These are pro scammers. They are not accredited with the BBB. You can file a complaint with the BBB or fed trade commission. Just be sure you never confirm ANY info they ask for. You will never get that so called letter.

Accreditation with the BBB means nothing other that the company paid lots of money to them for a good rating.

That information as well as other pertinent information has already been posted in here.  What you need to do is also posted in here.  It is also probably posted in the number thread that they called you from, which is easily located by putting the number in the search  box.

I got called from the # 877-395-7545.  I answered and a recording said they were attempting to contact someone with my name...to press 0 for an associate.  I got no response to "0"  so hung up and call the # back.   I then got a woman who I asked who the number belonged to and she stated " Forward Movement Recovery"  I said I did not know who they were and why they were calling me.  She said the number I was calling from was indicated for a woman by my name.  I said that was my name but I still did not know why they would be calling me.  She then proceeded to say she had to validate if I was the correct person and stated the last 4 digits of a SS #.  I said NO. that was not mine and NO I was not the person  and to take my information off their call list.  They were searching for a woman with a similar name that has haunted me for over 10 yrs.  They just call anyone and everyone who comes up with a similar name.   She said I would not receive any more calls, but I know that is false.   As it still continues to happen.  I have a legal firm that handles these scam calls for collections and will turn it over to them.  THESE SLIMEBALLS NEED TO BE STOPPED.

Had a vm from a woman saying she was from FMR & wanting info on James (last name). To return call to (877) 230-4316 & if I did not they would continue making calls to other contacts. I called back, but it's after hours. I can't wait to call them Monday so I can tell them how to find James, my father, who died over 7 years ago!!!! Good luck "FMR"

I have received a few calls from this number for a relative. I called them today, they asked for my phone number, and I asked them for the following: Name of Company, Address, Phone # and Professional License Number. The person, Dan, got angry and stated he didn't need to give any information without having the file information. I started laughing, because it's quite obvious this is a scam.

Received a call to my office from 877.298.4531 and when I picked up, it was an automated message asking for some random guy's whereabouts. I work in HR so I thought it might be an employment verification of some sort. The message said to press 0 to speak to a representative. When someone picked up, the lady asked for the same guy's information. I asked her who they were and she said Forward Movement Recovery and that they process claims. I asked her what claims and she said she couldn't disclose that information because "all claims are different" and she couldn't say anything unless she knew she was speaking to the right party.

I told her I didn't know who the guy was and she said she'd remove my number from their list.

Got a call from them at 877-299-5132 this morning they left a very aggressive 'Judge Judy' type message. So I called back and it went to their answering machine, where I learned they were called Forward Movement Recovery. So, of course I googled that and found this website and read all of the replies here.

I"ve actually fallen for one of these scams before a few years ago, so I knew exactly what was going on and the claims here on 800notes just verified it all for me. So I thought I'd call them back and have  a little fun with them. After giving them my name and phone # (which they already had) they told me "there are some claims against you here can I verify that the last four digits of your SS is ****" I told them I wasn't comfortable sharing that information until I knew what this was about. They told me they couldn't tell me until I told them. I said I haven't received anything in the mail, nor do I have any idea what this could be about, and then they said "well, I'll just remove you, you could be the wrong person" (even though the 4 digits of my SS they had were correct).

I'm actually kind of upset they gave up so easily, I was really looking forward to messing with them.
