We get cold calls from your company all the time. They're often pushy and rude.

I am so tired of the Phishing and scam calls I get at home and the office! Quit ripping people off and go out and earn it honestly! "TED" was extremely pushy when he called and sounded to good to be true!

I run into these "Hotel Sharks" all the time. They operate in a number of ways to lure people away from your hotel block. They canvas your business event site looking for exhibitors, attendees, ect to contact., pretending to represent the local visitors bureau, show management, Convention Center 's, the list is endless. In a worst case scenario the end user shows up at the property and they have no room, yet the credit card has been charged for the stay as they took the charge up front which is how most of them work. Or they were charged you a healthy "Booking" fee to do so. The least evasive is the end user shows up at the property only to find out they paid a pretty premium for the room. IE. Rack rate is 300.00 a night and you were charged 400.00 You got a room, but at a very expensive premium! Bottom line is they are not looking out for your pocket book and more like themselves.
Daniel, and to anyone else skeptical! His name was Ted Austin, 702-749-4458 rooms@ntarooms.com and a bit pushy and rude. The Gear Expo 2017 in Columbus, OH representative indicated they did not authorize any solicitors in their behalf. I hope this gets out to more exhibiting.
The owners of National Travel Associates are Terry and Deanna Byrne. There have been complaints about them regarding other businesses they have owned. Interestingly, their reply to the complaints is exactly like what "Alyssa" posted. That is where the Ontario mix up came from.
These so called Booking sites are a joke, EXP: I went to them on all the sites and tried to Book at Comfort Inn in Middleburg Hts, Ohio, They wanted 129.00 for a king room, went to Choice hotels, and got the same room for Military at 82.00 per Night If you book at these places and have a Problem the hotel will not help you, they will tell you to call who you booked from I called Choice hotels about a small problem, and before i could get off the phone, it was taken care of

702-979-5847 just called us and left a voicemail wanting to discuss our upcoming exhibit at some convention in Anaheim (which we have nothing at all to do with). They provided a call back number of 877-595-7666 which is what led me to this topic.

These guys called my direct line today saying they were the sole housing link for a convention next year, told me it was the deadline today and all the rooms were going and they needed a credit card to hold the booking. I phoned the hotel while she was on hold - they'd never heard of National Travel Associates, then I called my convention contact and he said OnPeak will do the rooms in January, TOTAL SCAM!!
Yves was here last in '15, and probably will not see or respond. Sadly, based on page after page of reports, I think your money is gone, if you do recover it, you should consider yourself very, very lucky.
wronged I have had a similar experience with this company, only when I canceled my room in Mexico City they not only took 25% they kept the all of the money and said if I ever re-booked with them they would apply the money to my next hotel room. This company is a SCAM.
